I think it looks good but I feel it can be a bit hard to see where the player's hitbox is in relation to where the boss is hitting. Perhaps telegraph boss /enemy hits better with a ground impact circle would work?

I've been working on a small incremental city builder where you send out heroes to gather materials to upgrade your town. The heroes turn into Warriors, Scholars and Huntsmen depending on how they level up - which are needed to unlock higher lvl buildings!
