It is amazing how all these technologies target those in society who they claim they will help so they can go “look how ace our utterly awful, invasive and dystopian tech really is. You wouldn’t deprive {insert a section of society} would you?”.

Utterly despicable.

somehow it's always when there's a legal dispute between Tesla and one of its customers, or law enforcement gets involved... and always when Tesla has the most to gain from its much-vaunted data collection system failing to function properly

Key evidence disappears from Tesla involved in bizarre crash The network card that stores and transmits crash data to Tesla's servers was physically removed from a Tesla Model Y involved in a violent 90 km/h crash in Bergen, Norway.

you might be surprised by how often Tesla's data recording systems randomly break, fail to function properly, go missing, or are otherwise mysteriously unable to perform their functions precisely when they are needed most

then again, you might not be surprised at all

Look what I spotted today! Its a 2014 Toyota Spade. The passenger electric sliding door is giving me Peugeot 1007 vibes. #carspotting #carsky

I suspect the real answer for us is to buy bigger bags but still doesn't get over the fact the bag cannot be fitted properly due to the handle design 🤦‍♂️

The images in their leaflet do not match the reality. Its baffling how badly they've handled this. I mean, they just could use what Wales did and get it closer to right.

We already have to leave that one outside, near the Outside Caddy, as we do not have room for it in the kitchen.

Reading more of the leaflet I am convinced they used AI to write it. From the tone, grammar and how it ends up not really saying anything at all.

Why have we accepted such mediocrity and people being sh*t at their jobs?

We have a kitchen caddy and plastic bag liners. Sounds good. Just one teeny tiny problem. The design of the caddy means 1) the bags cannot be used as liners as the handle is part of the lip so the bag cannot be pulled over the lip and 2) the bags are far smaller than the opening of the caddy.

We have been given a leaflet to help us make this move and understand it. There's an FAQ, one question is "I don't have space for the kitchen caddy, what should I do?". The answer is, and I wish I was making this up, essentially 'find space in the kitchen'.

The way our council has handled the mandatory food waste recycling thing has been utterly inept.
From the initial announcement, the condescending messaging, the mixed messages to the stuff turning up for us to use. Its all been a lesson in how we've accepted ineptitude as the norm.

I suspect its something to do with the promise and expectation of better and different. Unfortunately, they have handled most things incompetently. And people feel they've been lied to in some of what they've done.

Yep. 100% this. Fed up of us having to chose the least worst option.

I get the positives and negatives for them (sorry, no pun intended). I presume there will be something in the legislation about the standard that they must be installed to, who maintains them and what happens when the council (heaven forfend) actually resurface a pavement.

When you are convinced nothing is going to happen at sunrise and then the light finally hits the loch . .

Haha! Yes. You are correct.

Yeah. Totally agree. We have lost any ability to understand issues are complicated, interconnected with other aspects of society and there is nuance. Its just exhausting.

Yeah pretty much I'd say we just need to stop using QR codes on any public printed material, because too much scope for people placing rogue stickers over the top.

Don't issue them, don't scan them.

As usual, it’s not the kids who need help it’s the adults that run on belief and feelings in the face of facts and reality.

So sick of it.

School: you need an app to track homework.

Also school: phones are banned.

School: we won’t provide buses so use local services that expect digital payments.

And so on.
