Truth be told, I've always enjoyed Maria's character and am happy to still see her having an influential presence in the comics.

I like the idea of Maria Hill being a late-era Nick Fury Sr.-type of figure, trenchcoated and blunt, working from the shadows, trying to hold the world's stitches together.
