Chinese Roast Duck, but Make It Turkey (Gift Article) With juicy meat and extra-crisp skin, Thanksgiving turkeys cooked in the manner of ducks are keeping Chinatown barbecue restaurants busy across the United States.

It’s authentic

That last one is not bad, but honestly what I would have said is pretty simple:

“Happy Fucking Thanksgiving!”

Do you think people who have found unique benefits (or joy) in a vegan diet might make the same argument?

Maybe?

No idea but I’m not buying it

It’s a good question but I also think it’s super speculative at this point

Unless you’re trying to blow up a balloon and a highly calcified vessel when it can be quite a problem

That said, you are 100% right that calcium is not the cause of the problem but a sign of the problem

The mesa CAC risk calculator illustrates this pretty nicely. internal.mesa-nhlbi.org/about/proced...
Here is a hypothetical pt with CAC = 400 and same patient at 2000

I think it’s probably unwise to assume we understand mechanism here since we have no good experimental evidence that more calcified plaques are more “stable” and thus less risky. More athero is bad and more is associated with more risk. More calcium in the cors means more athero means more risk

As they say, is it a threat or a promise- feature or bug- glass half empty or full?

I think I’ll try to make my experience on Twitter so bad that I’m forced to leave. It probably won’t be too hard

Looking for your food people? @wyoweeds.bsky.social put together a great list.

This time without the mortifying typos.
