Continuity with Bond shouldn't matter from actor to actor. and even then only in a handwavey kind of way. I say reboot the franchise and set it in the 60's as a period piece. then next actor. present day.

Personal opinion:
Doctor Who needs to be more like mid-to-late-season MacGyver.
Less emotional trauma and universe-ending stakes, and more just dropping in on a bad situation where somebody’s in a rough spot or being taken advantage of, and putting it right through compassion and ingenuity.

Hopefully it captures some of that almost just the basics of a shooter gameplay that left 4 dead mastered
