The time for a spine Democrats who censured Rep. Al Green are as clueless as they are feckless.

“Trying to appeal to a voter who will congratulate you for scolding a member of your own party for peacefully protesting fascism is a losing game because that voter does not exist.”

Ian Power, a smiling blonde man who very generously came to visit his friend even though she got the time wrong and made him wait at a local coffee shop with local snobs, stands next to Haley Olson, a smiling blonde woman with unwashed hair and the biggest forehead known to man (and who has just been crying because she is a woman on the verge of a nervous breakdown due to her union’s strike), on a street corner in Ann Arbor

Today for @ianpoweromg.bsky.social’s birthday, I’m finally sharing this pic from 2023. Ian asks, “Why did you share this to stories when your other friends go on the grid??” It’s because this is a bad pic of me imo (check the alt text), but objectively the power of friendship wins out. HBD IHP!!

The band Third Eye Blind was underrated and I don’t care who I offend in saying that, whether it’s the fatcats in Washington or the bigwigs on Wall Street

Music fans what’s your favourite note? I’d have to say mine is Middle C. You just can’t beat the classics!

Everything is a total trash fire right now, but in other news, I haven’t been this excited to get a physical CD since maybe 2008

I was briefly in Minneapolis when the exhibit was on, and I’m so sad I didn’t get to see it 🙃

When Bush and Cheney crashed the economy and occupied a Middle East country, they did so with civility. Now, as Trump and Musk prepare to do the same, I fear that same civility is nowhere to be found.

Mr. Rogers said "look for the helpers," but his advice was for CHILDREN.

If your ass is grown your role is to BE the helper.

I wish I could find the person who said this originally, but it's been too long.

I’ve only seen them pop up in the last two years in a few upper middle class suburbs around here. Maybe they’d be in Woodbury or Eden Prairie? But they’re very mysterious to me.

…And also one of these purses. I don’t know where they came from, or how gained popularity, or why every mom in the Detroit suburbs owns one; I just know that they’re devastatingly ugly and if you drive a minivan, you also have a woven-strap leather purse, or at least a pretty convincing knockoff.

Got a loaner today and was very surprised that the mortgage, the Stanley, and the 4.2 kids I was supposed to drive to soccer practice weren’t included with the package

In 1594, Thomas Nashe wrote this truth of the ages: ‘This trick is worth noting, that those whom he dare not united encounter, disjoined and divided he will one by one assail in their sleep.’ He was talking about the Devil, but the point stands for an awful lot of politicians. - #DICallaghan
