True. My point is that capitalism has turned pain into something you should embrace as individual growth, not as a symptom of stuff that need to change.
But yeah: rich kids can tell you of their pain to cosplay the wisdom of life that supposedly comes with working class hardships.

Protestant denial of pleasure turned into capitalist fetishization of pain. The working class is being told that their toil is necessary for success, presenting suffering as a token of moral integrity and ambition.
You can't have an organization that lectures the middle class on their presumed privileges, and then say they're uneducated when they won't vote for you. People left to fight the onslaught of capitalism alone isn't stupid, but desperate.
If what saves us from fascism is a guy who cheats on his wife, I'll take the cheater any day. If he really assaulted those women, then let's beat fascism first and then take him to court afterwards.
Whoever MAGA decides to smear, obviously.
Two staffers that can't remember and indecent pics deleted by Snapchat, and y'all having a very pre-Trump reaction to a very post-Trump media reality. MAGA weaponizing the purity brigade against itself on the dawn of the elections - nobody saw that one coming.
Well, God did send the Persians to liberate the Jewish people from the Babylonian captivity, so I guess it makes sense that they finally get a little divine credit for it.
Maga's appeal is also conditioned by an identity focused left wing who told white males that their presumed privilege excludes them from civil rights concerns and wealth inequality issues, as if they too are not victims of vulture capitalism. They're not stupid, but left to fight alone.
Social democrats, but yeah: the right wing Progress party wanted to sell all oil licenses to foreign companies when we first struck oil in the 70's. Back then they were a fringe party, so luckily no one listened to them. Today, they're trumpists and the most popular opposition party.
Lidenskap lar seg ikke kombinere med petimeterpedanteri. Det er en dypere historie her om menneskets natur i møte med kald rasjonalitet som kan vise oss veien til både større livsglede og en bedre verden.
5. sesong av Fargo coiner typen:
Lorraine Lyon: So, you want freedom with no responsibility. Son, there's only one person on Earth who gets that deal.
Roy Tillman: Mmm. The president?
Lorraine Lyon: A baby. You're fighting for your right to be a baby.
Saw another one suggesting to add "... is a pedophile" under his name.
Nah - art as a commodity may have received a gut punch, but capitalism isn't sustainable anyway. People have created since time immemorial, and art as a human expression will survive as long as there will be humans.
So that's the success criterion for the GOP these days: whatever makes the Democrats "crazy".
With its doctrine that competition is everywhere and only winners can claim rights, capitalism is just fascism in a suit tailored to impress. Fascism found refuge in the 50's Chicago school of economics and evolved right under our noses as the beast now devouring both humanity and life on Earth.
When it stops giving him a dopamine rush.
I'm confused by Meloni. Is she the hard-line right wing extremist that media have called a European Trump, or just a no-nonsense bareknuckled pragmatist?
Culture wars fail to see that you cannot buy a house and feed your kids with white privilege alone. Capitalism and wealth inequality hits everyone in ways that leaves the poor worse off than the rich, regardless of identity. A black gay billionaire have more privileges than a white straight pauper.
Well, much of today's global issues have roots in British imperial fuckuppery. It's said that the sun never went down in the British empire, and yet none of those who ruled it were very bright.
No autonomous nation should ever be trusted, much less depended upon, as much as the US has been since the end of WW2. It never gave peace to nations that didn't serve its interests, and made the international community turn a blind eye to atrocities done by US allies in Palestine and elsewhere.
Herregud, og folk lurer på hvorfor høyresida fosser frem! Skrotvenstre suger all luft ut av venstresida, som blir kjempende mot purister innad i rekkene heller enn å stå forent i kampene utad.
Trump wants the oil industry to invest in Venezuela and other oil extraction projects because he thinks this will kickstart US economic growth, but the oil is currently too cheap to make investments profitable, so no oil companies want to. Once the price reaches $100 per barell, they still might.
One would think if Russia wanted to plant an agent to overtake the US and ruin it from within, they would have chosen a guy with intelligence.
Why is it that Dem leaders need to be top tier MENSA candidates to pass scrutiny, while GOP leaders can lose a spelling contest against a sea urchin and still hold office?
That's why we need legislation that prosecutes a human for every time AI causes death or injury. We're sliding into a reality where we designate agency to the murder weapon, so the murderer can go free. Besides: It certainly doesn't give people a sense of justice to put a llm in prison.
And so, even the idea of improvement through a dialectic process is itself corrected and improved. Disagreement is still needed for democracy to work, but it cannot involve bad faith agents who think democracy is a popularity contest.
Democracy is founded in a Hegelian idea of dialectics: opposing forces will extract the best from both and result in something better. It needs disagreement to properly work. Democracy is not a contest where the best argument wins, but a refinement process through trial, correction and improvement.
Takk for info!
