So apparently i had the fucking blackjack as my surgeon, just saving lifes in the middle of absolutely no where just doing his thing. crazy how life works out

"Whoever did your surgery was a genius. This fracture was extremely hard to detect, most orthopedists would've missed this. If he was in Korea, I'd like to meet this man myself"

I'm sitting in his office as he's just staring at the photos on a large monitor and just says nothing for 10 minutes but it feels like an hour. Then he suddenly says this:

I finally get home & my first instinct is to get a 2nd opinion from a doctor I can trust. My gramps (who was a bigshot doctor) hooks me up with "the best" & I send this guy every XRay that was done on me in the past month. Omw to the appointment, I'm paranoid i'll have to get another surgery (9/?)

I'm the second most depressed I've ever been. I finally get the ticket home (for $3-4k), and I carry two heavy suitcases while hopping on one foot throughout my miserable 22 hr commute back home in intense pain and all I can think about is if I got grifted and this surgeon fucked up my foot (8/?)

I'm stuck for two weeks for post-surgery rehab before I'm cleared for travel. My friends are all gone, my foot fucking hurts even when i'm downing oxytocin like an addict, the sweat in the cast makes me think ants are crawling in my skin, and black wasps kept invading my pad at all hours of the day

I can't see shit where he's pointing and all I can think about is that "there's no fucking way, this guys a hack" but at this point I'm scared out of my mind so I sign the papers to get surgery done asap. I break the news to my employers and sure enough I lose the job and my flight gets cancelled

I show up to the appointment thinking everything will be chill, and they do another XRay of my foot there. My doctor comes up to me with the photos, points to my right foot and says "you have small but major fracture right here and you need surgery immediately" (5/?)

I book at a random nearby orthopedics (I'm in the middle of nowhere in rural cornfields) in panic. later, the pain gets so fucking bad even after downing pain killers that I call an ambulance in tears to get to a hospital. They do another XRay and to my relief they say "yep, nothing wrong" (4/?)

At this point, the thought didn't cross my mind that I could've broken my foot. I didn't even want to consider it because of the internship. I got an XRay at my university health center, and they said "hey, we're not professionals, we don't see anything here but u really should see a real guy" (3/?)

Summer 2019, I managed to get an intern position at a lab in IRELAND(!!!). During a celebratory hike at the end of the school year, I fell and landed on the front end of my right foot. I felt dull pain, but it ended up growing worse and worse until the pain got so bad I couldn't walk anymore (2/?)

I got an email recently that told me the orthopedist who did surgery on my foot would be leaving his facility for greener pastures. Which reminded me of a CRAZY story with my involvement with him that I will never forget (1/?)

A friend told me he follows a law where if a meal is more expensive than chipotle, it must be, not similar, but a BETTER meal otherwise you should just eat at Chipotle.

I respect this way of life, but surely everyone has a "chipotle" of their own. Give me some thoughts

I've realized that after playing things other than Melee I require a strong training mode or the desire to watch hours of footage in order to play a new fighting game without going insane. In that sense, Rivals 2 is testing me lmao
