3 radishes on a wood bench
a harvest of 3 whole radishes from my community garden in Tulsa - more coming, and the arugula looks fine - but what happened to all the lettuce?

what a Diva! (at our Master Gardening demo garden in Tulsa)
early morning, pre-coffee, looking up 'sloty' as a possibly new and fun-ner sin - doh!
everyone else is busy setting up for GardenFest in Tulsa this weekend - am being lazy - but someone has to bring you this moment of zen!
thanks to the Tulsa Foundation for Architecture and their Tulsa Music history crawl, we got to see everything from the Big 10 Ballroom to the OKPOP archives to Leon Russell's gravesite just in time for a gorgeous sunset - what a great event!

certain bands or songs put you deep into a place or time - like the opening to 'Rikki Don't Lose That Number' and suddenly being back at the college pool, sizzling hot cement, a cloudless summer sky, the smell of Coppertone wafting over all... Not sure that's the vibe they were going for, but...!
a sunset view out large windows
Laura's windows - my friend lives in a 100yr old apartment building - that's old for Tulsa! Book club on a (finally!) warmish evening and enjoying the sunset on the river beyond...
the Saturn Room is not only Tulsa's Tiki Bar but also a wonderful view of downtown on this first warmish night in awhile....
one lovely hellebore out at the Teaching Garden, Tulsa - can't wait to start docenting there again!
my feeling is if you're running late to a meeting and lost anyway, why not stop and take a pic? Tulsa Pavilion 1932
don't you just love tribute band names tho? Like, there's a tribute band for Bread called Toast... and someone was telling me awhile ago about a Kiss tribute band and their motto: "you want the best - you got the 2nd best!"
entry way of a beautiful mid-century modern building - juxtaposed across the street from an equally beautiful Art Deco building in downtown Tulsa
late afternoon at the Tulsa Foundation for Architecture...
whenever I've tried overnight oats, they're unbearably mushy - wondering about toasting them first? tho that kinda defeats the whole 'quick and easy' thing...

last night it was 77F when we checked out the lights at Guthrie Green, downtown Tulsa - tonight, what with the windchill, it's 16F!

happy birthday to JJ Cale! Really have to thank 'the Lowdown' for helping me appreciate this Tulsa musician - such a cool song, swoony and romantic - and a great opening to the series...

oh yes, thank you - didn't mean to imply something was wrong - just took a long time for her to come in and the light outside was wonderful!

a long cold - windchill keeping us in the 20s! - but so interesting field trip for MG today - ending with this lovely quiet corner in Tulsa's the Gathering Place as we finally turn the corner into fall...

I’ve been joking that everyone in Tulsa needs to start dressing like we’re extras in ‘the Lowdown’ in order not to disappoint visitors - but seeing this guy painting in a park this morning? Kudos for the commitment, sir!
