You know what comes after the SAVE Act? Passport processing and USPS delivery delays that last until... 2027.

I called up one of the White House's "special government employees" involved in the Fulton County FBI raid.

I ended up on the phone for almost two hours hearing about the "deep state" "cabal," "Satanists," poison soda, and the "pure evil" of "gay pride." talkingpointsmemo.com/news/meet-th...

Self employed and on an individual plan in NH. Closest plan to my current one has 20% higher deductible and 37% higher premium. I don’t qualify for subsidies, this comes out of my pocket.

Watched Weapons on your recommendation. Very cool film. It never settles into one specific horror genre formula which escalates the uncomfortable tension to a level I didn’t expect. Good flick and appreciate the recommendation. Thank you!

Spot on and well said. Progress happens when we choose good-faith dialogue over performative debate.

Donald Trump is way less popular than he wants you to believe.

And you are significantly more powerful than he wants you to think.

We need to make it illegal for AI models to offer advertising. And, we need to really examine referral fees as well.

The last thing we need is to have algorithms designed to maximize revenue driving LLM output and interactions.

We need to have learned our lessons from algos in social media

Remember the wonderful Biden economy. Last January, the expected US economic growth was 2.5-3%.
But now we have the Trump economy.
Yesterday, the US Fed cut its US growth forecast from 1.7% to 1.4%, but it is likely to fall further.
Trump & his supporters are to blame.

My kids know an American flag when they see one – but they don't yet know all that it represents.

When they're old enough, here is what I'm going to tell them:

As Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Americans face increasing smears and discrimination–including from Trump’s administration–I am eager to recommit my support and celebrate love for all LGBTQ+ Americans this Pride Month. Happy Pride!

Donald Trump's policies are cruel and harmful. They're also insulting, to his opponents and supporters alike.

His actions and claims insult the intelligence of the American people - and our shared values.

America cannot long remain free, nor first among nations, if it becomes the kind of place where universities are dismantled because they don't align politically with the current head of the government.

Despite swearing otherwise just months ago, Republicans have now revealed their plan to take Medicaid away from millions of Americans.

There has to be accountability - for the harm and for the lies.

Many delegates, including Alexander Hamilton, fretted that "one of the weak sides of republics" was their susceptibility "to foreign corruption"; leaders elevated to "stations of great preeminence and power" by the people, Hamilton wrote, may be tempted to abandon their
"obligations of duty," lured by "compensations" from other nations seeking influence. In other words, federal officials could be so entranced by the wealth of foreign leaders, especially monarchs, that they might sell out their own country in exchange for a share of the riches dangled before them. The delegates sought to guard against this existential threat to republican "virtue" by adopting the foreign emoluments clause-unanimously, and without debate.

It is bracing to reread the Framers’ bone-deep fears about foreign corruption of the presidency and realize Trump is exactly what they were trying to prevent. slate.com/news-and-pol...

Could you imagine the response if a democratic president said they didn’t know if they had to uphold the Constitution?

How fast would the articles of impeachment be drawn ?

20 minutes at the most

We can argue over whether individuals or politicians are better stewards of capital.

I think the goal should be for politicians to try to efficiently collect and handle what a country needs to support those most in need, so they can live their lives in a meaningful way.

I’m a Soybean Farmer Who Voted for Trump. I’m Begging the President to End the Trade War. The tariffs on China could put us out of business by 2027. All our blood, sweat, and toil could vanish with the stroke of a pen.

Trump has perfected the art of Pareto Worsening, a change in allocation making at least one person worse off without making a single person better off.

Trade war, Medicaid cuts, science cuts, there are no winners here, only losers.

Not a single word to help the 33m small businesses in this country. Not from anyone in the administration.

So many buy from China, and don't have alternatives.

So many didn't have the cash to front run the tariffs and buy inventory

At approximately six-thirty on Tuesday evening, Joseph Morton, the Washington correspondent for The Dallas Morning News and the White House pooler on duty, tapped out a short email about the press being on the move and hit send. The crux of the email was fairly innocuous. It said that the White House pool, a small group of reporters designated to cover an event on behalf of the larger press corps, had been “loaded into the press vans” and was following Donald Trump “to the NRCC dinner at the National Building Museum.” But it also noted something else: “A reporter and photographer with The Associated Press were turned away from joining the pool.”

It was likely that sentence, which came after a judge had ordered the administration to restore the AP’s access, that irked the White House. That specific pool report from Morton, I’ve learned, was never distributed by the White House to news outlets subscribed to its pool report mailing list—a notable omission and a clear break from precedent.

-Trump bans the AP from the White House press pool

-Judge orders AP be allowed back into the pool

-Trump admin continues to block AP from the pool, and then censors the pool report noting the AP was turned away.

Great reporting from

Sometimes, when he fails badly enough, Trump can be forced to do the thing he says he never does: back down.

Today is just one more turn on the roller coaster - but it is more evidence of why we can't give up or let up.
