ENGL 2270:Classical Traditions
This course will focus on classical Greek epic, poetry, and theatre from Homer to Sappho, to Hesiod, to Sophocles. We will trace the dynamics that shaped Ancient Greek culture—dynamics that continue to shape our contemporary moment—like the relationship between elites and masses, erotic longing and madness, and the subversive power and threat of political outsiders, such as women, slaves, and foreigners.

Billionaires Should Not Exist Yes, every billionaire really is a policy failure.

When a single billionaire can accumulate more money in 10 seconds than their employees make in one year, while workers struggle to meet the basic cost of rent and medicine, then yes, every billionaire really is a policy failure.
