One of my more unique maritime adventures when 4 of us flew up to the Gulf of Carpentaria as replacement crew for a commercial fishing vessel in the back of this old Douglas DC3 with a replacement prop shaft & propeller for the boat we would be working on. Nothing ever comes easy with large boats.

I also spent a lot of time at sea working on commercial boats in the diving industry & also the fishing industry. This is the type of boat & cabin Iived in for 3 to 4 months while at sea. Sheer luxury on a fishing boat yeah? LOL

I have a lot of experience with this, so I can tell already you are scared and living in fear and this is because you have internalised homophobic and/or transphobic hate. It can affect all of us & there is no shame in admitting that. It is better you do acknowledge this rather than to be in denial.

You are not sitting in a good vantage point right now to understand these issues, this is why I say you need to step right back and take time out & learn from others with a lot more experience on these matters. I'm not here to tear you down, I am here to try & set you straight on these matters.

This is no excuse, I grew up a conservative Catholic & spend years locked in a battle between my faith & identity. So I know it can be harder for people who have been raised on conservative values, but this is also why some of us internalise our homophobia and transphobia. We all need to stop this.

If you recognise the fact you are at odds with so many other people in the community why do you keep pushing your abrasive opinion when you can see it is causing you so many issues? If you only know gender critical language, I think you need to reeducate yourself before stepping out as an activist.

Maybe you should spend less time on activism & more time on yourself & learning better communication skills. I've had to do it myself from time to time to become a better advocate for our community. I must be doing something right to have one of the most popular TGD community networks in Oz.
