Alphadots has been really good this week. You should try it.

Today's Businessweek Daily: "Cook’s Washington diplomacy is arguably equally core to his legacy, his shrewd approach to politics helping Apple navigate supply chain crises, trade wars and, yes, the occasional expectations of ass-kissing fealty from Trump."
Why does Anniversary Day still exist, especially when that June week is now M-W-F for students?
Today's Businessweek Daily features a great package of stories from the May issue about first jobs, what today's graduates can expect, what alternatives they're seeking, and advice from some CEO of the world 🎁
Would’ve loved to have actually heard Doug Glanville’s Jackie Robinson video, ESPN
The combo of heat/pollen is pushing me toward running mine tonight.
I’ve bene waiting for this column from @amandamull.bsky.social to see if I should pull the trigger on the Quince summer dresses I’ve been 👀
Worth your time: “Despite all of this, you know there is a line you can not cross. In part, it's because, journalistically, it is just wrong. But it's also about self-preservation.”
From @joshuagreen.bsky.social: Monday’s press conference was meant to convey Trump’s single-minded resolve. Instead, it highlighted his ambivalence. “We won, OK? They were militarily defeated,” he declared. Moments later he described a plan that suggested the war may just be getting started. (🎁)
Thanks! We used to have a by-the-numbers themed blog. It was fun to write.

I do love this part of having a teen. The Bear this week caught that a baseball article was an April Fool’s prank because the reporter’s name was misspelled, and Absolutely Our Child was my first thought.
There’s some kind of metaphor about style versus substance, watching the Yankees’ home opener introductions on YES. You can hear the music but not the names. 🤷♀️
I see we’re all talking about Red Lobster again so I’m putting this amazing illo back into your feed (and it’s a gift link)

A NASA photograph of Earth taken from the Artemis II mission by astronaut Reid Wiseman, displayed on a television screen. The full disk of Earth is centered against black space, showing the blue of the oceans, white cloud formations, and the reddish-brown landmass of Australia in the lower left. A thin luminous arc of atmosphere traces the planet’s edge. The NASA logo is partially visible in the upper right corner of the screen. The TV is framed by colorful ambient lighting in purple, pink, and orange.
My god.
What a photo from Reid Wiseman onboard Artemis II.
That's here. That's home. That's us.
I appreciate the Challenger footnote here because I very clearly remember NOT watching and finding out from a teacher who'd gone home for lunch that day. So it's my classmates who claim to remember watching who have the false memories.
Gonna enjoy next week's vacation since it'll be the last for a while 😩
I got so nervous waiting in line for the Batman coaster on my first visit that I walked right through without riding. I did it later though!
Last night's dinner conversation turned to high school adventures that felt like freedom. Like one of the people quoted here, one of mine was going to Six Flags as soon as a friend was able to drive there.
"Even Florida natives wanted to get in on the excitement. Tortoises were seen roaming the lawns around the center, and a family of manatees loitered in the waters near the press site. On L-2 (two days until launch), a vibrant rainbow appeared."

Honestly, this seems like it was good preparation for today. We've got the Artemis launch, Trump at SCOTUS, the Iran speech later, Passover. Too many plotlines.
We just rewatched For All Mankind “The Grey” with the teenager and none of us are OK.
