okay but crashing out about pipewire is valid
Posts by JCog
pipewire has literally never not given me issues lol. pulseaudio also does, just fewer.
oh you're in for a good time, genuinely
I do genuinely love linux, but between pipewire and pulseaudio, the entire audio system makes me want to pull my hair out, like windows never gave me audio issues like this.
I ate so many 99 cent crispy chicken sandwiches in college. just checked and they're $2.59 now lol.
still using the acasis card for my dslr, but as long as I don't turn it off during stream there's no issue lol
okay this didn't actually fix it, but I found two super recent replies in a couple years-old reddit threads that helped me get my avermedia card working on linux, so that works!!
TRANS-EARTH RETURN Return Trajectory Correction (RTC) burns as necessary to aim for Earth's atmosphere: travel time approximately 4 days.
this must be what they mean by "transgender for everybody"
I refreshed the Artemis II wikipedia page and it changed from "Artemis II is a planned lunar flyby mission" to "Artemis II is an ongoing lunar flyby mission" lmao
holy shit this is awesome
god I love space
so I did some debugging and found this was actually caused by my capture card driver, so I sent a detailed support email and they already (hopefully) fixed it??? best customer service ever tbh.
hey
apparently I need to add "conversion therapy is abuse, even if it's just talking" to this list...
and when I say to listen to us, I don't just mean saying "trans rights are human rights". I mean to listen when we say things like let trans kids play sports with their gender, trans women are biological women who change their sex, and let trans kids who want them have hormones by AT LEAST 13yo.
Transgender Day of Visibility is cool and all, but I'd like to propose a sequel: Transgender Day of Oh God They See Us Now But They Don't Hear Us Please For The Love Of God Stop Using Us As A Talking Point And Listen To The Words We're Saying
PROJECT HAIL MARY SPOILERS
I like PHM quite a lot, so much so I read it twice. It's very good. So it's very funny to me that Weir wrote a book where the world's governments come together to solve an immanent climate crisis and he thinks he put no politics or social commentary in it.

well I learned the hard way tonight not to run a linux kernel without long term support without a very good reason, but the comedic timing was incredible at least
!!!
if you've never used a prescription stimulant before, you're about to have one of the wildest experiences of your life, no exaggeration.
I discovered I had ADHD because of a random video youtube recommended me and I discovered I was trans because of a random tweet on my for you page. how is my life real lol
yes and no lol, like don't people usually need to wait like, months at the very least just to make an appointment to get diagnosed?
sometimes I think about the fact that I went from discovering I have ADHD to having a bottle of legally-prescribed adderall in my hand in the span of a single week. like it sounds like I'm lying when I say that but it actually happened.
me: you should watch [new show], it's really good!
them: oh cool! what platform is it streaming on?
me: uhhhhh, I have no idea.
side note, but it's a huge pet peeve of mine when people say something you should boycott "isn't even that good". all this serves to do is make you feel good for not liking something bad and anger the people you're trying to persuade. it's not a helpful point. chick-fil-a comes to mind.
also for the record, I don't care if it's the best show ever created or "not even that good". its quality is irrelevant. the money it makes will be used to directly fund efforts to take away trans people's rights and that should be the end of the conversation.
if you genuinely don't know what I'm talking about, consider this the last time you can claim to be ignorant:
my personal stance on the whole HP/JKR thing is that if see you watching/talking positively about it, I probably won't stop being your friend. but I will distance myself from you because you've demonstrated my rights are less important to you than your entertainment.
and in this particular case, the artist has explicitly said she will use the money from said art to make my life worse, so like, lol.
