Absolutely!! I picked up a 15 euro digital camera from like 2006 a few months ago & I've been loving just having a dedicated non-phone camera to take pictures on, I think it has a pretty distinctive quality bc it's so old and it's so lovely.

TRUTH. Old digital cameras are cool too though I have a real soft spot for mid 2000s digital cams.

Then today: Love It Love It by Nana Grizol. Made me feel butterflies in my stomach, absolutely lovely & astonishing album! Need to ruminate to actually have anything to say about it, but it's really fucking good & instantly a favourite.

This Sunday, on the way to a concert, I listened to Cherry Peel by of Montreal. I've been listening to more tweepop recently & Cherry Peel is very interesting! Feels less punky than most tweepop I listen to & more stripped back. The lyrics are really good.

2/3rds of the month, I listened to Goodbye Cool World! by Bomb the Music Industry! after hearing Shitty Kickflips mention it in her video about her newest album. Goodbye Cool World is very earnest, sonically imbalanced, inspired by ska & chiptune & an amazing listen!

One of the first albums I listened to this month was I Want to Love Again by Doefriends, probably my favourite album since listening to Telefone by Noname in early January. It's bitpop/shoegaze/whatever you want to call it. My favourite track is "waiting," but the album is amazing throughout.

Becoming increasingly pretentious & snobby about music as I listen to & engage with it more actively. I think I'll start doing threads about my favourite albums I've listened to each month.
