Totally. Politics as entertainment is (a big) part of the problem

We’ll see what he decides. I don’t think analysts should dictate the strategy of the firms they analyse. For what I hope would be obvious reasons
Interesting, he does seem awkwardly frit. And he is probably too ruthless with his own and too soft with those who want to bring him down. That’s my attempt at nuance, anyway!
Yep guess so!
Great to hear - sorry, just sounded a bit like things were changing fast, but you are clearly on top of it!
Suggest a check up of your eye health/internal pressures?
The cross border routes aren’t easy. Rail companies tend to be pretty parochial as I understand it sadly.
Yes, disappointing. Nice enough bloke in person (met him a few times when I was active), frit at leadership. Reminds me a bit of the MI5 boss in Slow Horses, who continually screws up, getting himself and everyone else into trouble, with Diana Taverner having to sort it all out.
Absolutely crazy to behave that way. Mediaeval, even
Complaint to @ofcom.bsky.social entirely IMHO. What do you say, Ofcom?
Sorry you think like that. I don’t happen to think that is fair but I do understand why others disagree and I also agree we have a lot of persuading to do. I mostly look up
to the Scandinavian, Baltic & Low Countries if I can call them that, as it happens. Love the mixture of community & pragmatism
I always try to be moderate and reasonable (honest guv). At the same time I find his lack of curiosity about vetting, along with his sequencing of the appointment against the recommendations of top civil servants, difficult to accept for a Prime Minister. I don’t think he will be in post at next GE.
I don’t think it’s bad to decouple in that manner
My family is from there. We had a close involvement with the fortunes of the Mewstone for a few decades
Looks like the coast path to Warren Point/Newton Ferrers from Wembury Bay?
Is it angry?
Amazing. This is what life should be about, IMO: Wonder and joy. Rather than emotional damage from trying to anticipate the next action of a toxic narcissist.
Are we back yet?
This place appears to be suffering from a major outage. Is it global, or limited to a specific region?
Yep
That we should start that conversation with the EU and pronto? They may not want us, for the moment at least. Which is something many seem to forget, somewhat surprisingly. Or not
Yep. Discontinuities are inherently unpredictable. People probably sense they might well be happening (such as now) but are chary of predicting what will happen, so retreat to optimism.
a view of earth from the moon
POV: it's tax day and we’re all living on the most beautiful tiny blue dot in the universe… and a handful of greedy nature wrecking billionaires are ruining it for all of us.

It wound be a major break from Constitutional convention as I understand it anyway. Happy to be corrected by constitutional experts.
It isn’t Charles decision - he does what he is told to do by the Government. I agree with the rest, mind you it’s hard for the UK to completely disengage from the US because we have and continue to depend on them for so much. That is also why Brexit has been so disastrous. So much for “sovereignty”.
Way too expensive outside the urban environment
Just don't go.
This whole pseudo debate is IMO just an excuse for dehumanisation of trans people. Incredibly depressing given we seemed to have made so many strides prior. Maybe people became scared of the progress society had made, which sounds crazy even as I write it. But not far off, I suspect.
That is fantastic!
IMO you nailed it there
