What is next for MAGA?
I wrote about the MAGA civil war, the dynamics shaping this ugly struggle for supremacy on the Right, what Trumpism without Trump might look like, and why MAGA is likely to emerge more ideological and more radical.
Some thoughts from my new piece for @zeit.de:

Thank you for sharing! 3-5 months is the best thing I've heard in a long time.
and can come back as Shingles later on.
‘monthly charge imposed by the city of Bowling Green’s municipal utility…roughly $56 per month…roughly doubles solar system payback…$4-per-kilowatt monthly charge…net metering rate of 7.5¢/kWh vs charge of ~13¢/kWh’

A modern-day Camille Paglia.
Body-camera video appears to contradict the government’s claim that Marimar Martinez, 30, drove toward officers before one of them opened fire at her late Saturday morning in Brighton Park, her attorney claimed.

Is that your only reaction? Yawn and move on?

Slot got so many things right last year, but there are so many issues to addressthis season: the press, the midfield, the 6 position, player rotation/selection... Hoping that they are all concerns that can be handled on the training pitch
I've been wondering when he's going to declare prima nocta.
What's particularly galling is that the Inflation Reduction Act (what the WH is calling a scam) invested more money and resources in red districts than blue. Not one of my Republican officials in FL would stand up for us and protect these funds.
Words by Natalie Alcoba, photos by Anita Pouchard Serra, and helped by @pulitzercenter.org funding, today's post focuses on rural Argentinian feminists and their efforts to keep a feminist radio show alive: the-flytrap.ghost.io/rural-femini...
Interesting concept!
Fly Like a Bird was one of the bedtime songs I sang to my kids, and now my grandson, so I'm already emotional when I see Nelly Furtado. But seeing her get her flowers and really seem to enjoy her time onstage...
What do you mean, he totally is! Newcastle don't need Isak anymore. They've got their striker, they won't even miss him! 😁#HandHimOverNewcastle #FreeIsak

They want wraps to announce themselves, yet put fake plates on their vehicles and cover their faces.
What happens when Trump pursues his vendetta agenda, purging the government of those who investigated Russian interference in the 2016 election or Trump's wrongdoing in 2020-21?
America becomes less safe.

Here's what it should look like:
I read it as more of an "I'm trying to discuss this respectfully, but don't think you are doing the same" comment. 🤷.
I think it would've helped to stay on the original point- Biden could have stopped the genocide. I agree with Jay that that 🍉 purity politics helped give us Trump. Both are true.
I share the sentiment, though. I agree w/ most of what Jay says and read him for that reason. It's not a parasocial thing, it's just that I'm interested in his thoughts.
But the Biden WH also kept supporting genocide, which is morally wrong and alienated some who wanted him to do better. Just fax.
Reading a thread that goes from "Respectfully, this is somewhat disingenuous. We can and should have stopped arming Israel with 2,000lB bombs and more. THAT was the request. Stop funding genocide." to white boomers think social media = real life relationships. 🙄 So many straw men, so little time.
I've been thinking about Kent St a lot lately. Except this time, 30% of the country, led by Trump, will be cheering and calling for more death.
People underestimate how hard it is to create an understanding between players on the pitch. Who's tracking back, who's pressing, who's making the run, etc.
Can these new players figure it out quick enough to hit the ground running, or are we going to look better on paper than on the pitch?
Not to ignore the critical issue of overconsumption. But I was encouraged by reading about the recent rewilding efforts involving beavers in England, beavertrust.org/historic-fir.... Could it be one cost-effective step to restoring nature?
The Bork drama, the Savings and Loan drama, the Civil Rights drama, the Great Depression drama, the Reconstruction drama... It's always the same people who want one set of rules for them (i.e., none) and complete servitude for everyone else. And people like Tom are always giving them cover.
