Made a 3D Me with TinkerCad at #ISTELive. I think it's a pretty good likeness...
I won this today at my first #ISTELive session. Can't wait to dig into it!
I spent some time this afternoon pouring over the ISTELive schedule and making my favorites schedule. It's almost here!
Took some time on my first day of break to renew my Google Certified Educator Level 1 credentials.

I've been working with this group of kids for the past 7 years. It was awesome to spend a week with them at camp.

My media club and I recently recorded a podcast about AI. I intentionally gave these 6th graders no time to prep so I could gauge what they know. They were surprisingly insightful. We'll have to do a part 2 down the road.

Instead of me reading aloud to my 1st & 2nd graders, I've been asking students to choose a book and read. We're working on not just reading, but adding voices and inflection. It's super fun!
Great presentation from @retrievelearn.bsky.social this morning! My team sees students once per week. We're excited to try brain dump and retrieval activities to help our students retain learning from week to week.
In NYC with my team for the Learning and the Brain conference. This should be fascinating.
Our NJHS ran a Pie the Staff fundraiser. It was super fun and we raised over $500 for our scholarship fund!
Just listened to an acquaintance give a talk on mindfulness and balance. He's a retired marine and entrepreneur. I'm hoping he is willing to speak to my 8th graders before they graduate.
I got to give my tech spiel to a group of incoming kindergarten parents this afternoon. I always love seeing their faces when I tell them kinder kids start using computers on day one!
In New Orleans for a PLC Leadership workshop. Learning some great strategies to help my team meetings.
One of my favorite things I've done this year is start an after school game club. We have a blast hanging out and playing games. Current favorites are Tapple, Werewords, and Hues and Cues.
There are a lot of cool resources in Google Arts & Culture.
Our Internet was down all day at school. The quote of the day came from a 5th grader who yelled "What is this, the 1990's!"
AISLE is proud to announce the 2026 Readers’ Choice Lists are here! Our committees have been hard at work for the past year curating these lists and we are excited about them! We hope you are just as excited!

The other day a recent grad stoped by. He told me that my class projects gave him a huge advantage in both his Intro to Business and Engineering classes. He then told my 7th graders that because of our school's high expectations he was way more prepared than other freshman in his class! Good Stuff 😁
