I don’t think every child needs a free breakfast. Some families could pay for their own breakfast. The money would be better spent on SEND.
Really interesting, thank you.
Would you be interested in coming along to an open day at Liphook looking at oracy? We are starting an oracy hub. It’s had the biggest impact on teaching and learning that I have seen in my career! Thank you for all of you support with Teams Tim.

We have adapted what we do for the age and stage of the child. We use the Cambridge oracy framework ie: focusing on cognitive, linguistic, cognitive & social and emotional aspects of oracy. (2/7)
We have been working with Voice 21 for a year now so I thought I would share our journey. We have talk guidelines in all classrooms and use talk tactics (sentence stems) to help children to: instigate talk, clarify, build on, summarise, probe and respectfully challenge. (1/7)
Our kitten, Maple, has devised a solution for work-life balance. Whenever I go to work, she lies across the keyboard!
Hi Clare,
I absolutely love your blog, so true. Thank you for posting it and introducing me to Bluesky!
