Aphelion was one of those ideas that just… flowed. I didn’t want to stop writing. I fell in love with the characters and the world, and by the end of the month I knew I needed to do more with it.

So Ren’s world got a lot bigger and over 6,000 years of lore was created for the world of Ranelle.

The original idea for Aphelion came to me in a dream back on October 12, 2017.
The dream followed Ren, who was trying to stop a plague that turns its victims into zombies from spreading further across Levana. When I woke up, I remembered almost everything so I expanded on the story for NaNoWriMo.

The Waker’s Curse is a direct sequel to The Waker. A deadly disease is sweeping through the slums. When The Royals refuse to do anything about it, Ren decides to take things into his own hands while also trying to stop his own life from spiralling out of control.

The Aphelion saga starts in The Waker. Ren Solomon has been tasked with finding the killer who has been targeting prominent members of Levana’s upper class. But the closer Ren gets to discovering the truth, the more he begins to question everything.

Aphelion: Starfell is both a prequel & tandem story to the main Aphelion tale, and follows the crew of the Starfell spaceship, as they tell travel from one planet to another, looking for a new place the people of Ranelle can call home.

The second story in the Aphelion world is “Awakening”, which focuses on our protagonist, Ren Solomon, during his childhood years. Awakening is going to be a lot of fun to create, as it is our most lighthearted story, & sets up important lore in the future tales.

The first story we will be working on in the world of Aphelion is “Twin Stars”. This is the origin story of Aphelion and the other Ranellan gods.
Twin Stars will delve into how the legend of The Waker (a demon said to bring about the end of the world) began.
