Im someways the internet is slowly dying. In other it is quickly dying. The reality is we are being more and more limited the way to fight back is to not play the game.

We, at least in Europe are failing our puppy community.
In the years i've been involved the same people keep coming up as being involved or powerful.
I feel we are smothering new talent and new leadership. We are failing to help bring change and improvement. We need fresh blood and new talent

Well i'm more concerned about AI destroying our notions of reality and creating grey goo which has already infested basically every aspect of our existence. That is probably a big pandemic and probably more problematic then someones dating habits

Yea that's where we have failed. The web was envisioned as a place for all to have self expression. Instead it became overly technical, overly complicated and corporate. We have lost that spirit and with it our freedoms and we are now paying the price
This is also good. Ideally of course we'd relay on federated and decentralization options that would allow non technical people to join and share.
But honestly we tech people have failed to make it easy for others to join other non corporate structures hence the overuse of X, instagram, etc
Well i think it really depends. When i first got infected with HIV the world was a bit different and suddenly no one wanted to be around me.
I did take it on to educate others. Even today many people don't know about TASP. I don't mind and am happy to provide info and resources to people unaware

I'm afraid to tell you that depending on any kind of corporate platform as a primary source of expression and interact with the wider world is likely to be frustrating particularly as we get deeper into this moralistic wave.
There are other decentralized options but do require more tech knowledge.
Until they make it illegal to bypass regulations via VPNs which i assume is already in the works.
I am just as worried about the moral panic. None the less everything eventually ends.
If we will go back to more reasonable means of enforcement any time soon is hard to say.

Well bsky has also fallen to the great porn ban. I am no longer able to see 'adult content' including in some cases simply profile pictures with puppy hoods
Bsky has blocked all the adult content for me even in Europe. There is no option to turn it off the filters
I still don't get the point of this social media.
All kinds of bots, spam and porn people are following me and that's not super interesting particularly when they are doing for some money reason.

I miss COVID not because of the suffering and pain but because we had a chance to rebuild our society differently but we ignored and went back to the same shit as before instead of learning our lesson. We missed a chance now are we bounda to repeat the lesson again.
