While incumbents in recent elections have struggled, could one of the effects of Trump's return to the White House be a boost in popularity for incumbents? Canada’s Liberals were 23 points behind two months ago, they're six points ahead now. Interesting chart in the New Statesman

Demanding action on Islamophobia has never been about asking for special treatment for Muslims but rather equal treatment. We must never allow Islamophobia to become normalised.

Sadiq Khan is an inspiration to many.

When it comes to social mobility and inclusion, we hear the word 'merit' a lot. Far too often markers of class are mistaken for markers of 'merit'. The way someone talks, dresses, shared cultural tastes are mentioned.

Yet these aren't markers of merit, they're markers of class.

Just listened to an interview on LBC where a caller falsely claimed ‘we don’t have free speech in the U.K.’. Asked by the presenter what she couldn’t say anymore that she would like to, the caller couldn’t provide an example.

Such conspiracy theories need to be called out head on. 1/2
