Following the release of the Epstein files Jk Rowling has deleted a decade of port logs belonging to the Super yacht Samsara.

What is she hiding?

You see Captain, it was the 32 County Toy Show vehicular parade that led directly to Irish re-unification in the 2020s. #LateLateToyShow

wish I was still over on the other place to see Shatter and the other Irish Zios have a collective meltdown about the renaming of Herzog Park. 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿

I'm old.

If you're not, listen to this.

Get a guitar or some drums, or a trumpet. Pick up a brush, a pencil, some clay or a welder.

Just make shit. It doesn't have to be good (eventually it will be) just make music, art or write or whatever.

It's literally never been more important.

A four-panel meme from the animated show King of the Hill. In the first panel, John Redcorn, an indigenous man, responds “Yes?” while looking at a blond boy Bobby Hill in a classroom. In the second panel, Bobby looks confused and asks, “Are you sure it’s the white man who did all that stuff?” The third panel shows Bobby gesturing toward himself and saying, “Because I come from white people,” and the fourth panel continues with him saying, “and this is the first I’m hearing of it.”

Twitter is a weapon, primarily for use against journalists to convince them that these manufactured narratives are things that normal people actually believe.

Christmas is almost upon us which means it’s time to start creating a list for Santa and trawling through Smyths product reviews like:
⭐️ “Looks good from the box.”
⭐️⭐️ "Fast Delivery"
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “Bought for the grandkids, sure they’ll love it.”

Thanks for the insight person definitely born before 1970.

Remember - the Irish government was told years ago when the total was still well under 10,000 how to eradicate homelessness by the man who did so in Finland, and it just ... didn't bother.
And since then, the majority of you kept voting for them.
Well done, everyone. Well done. 👍

I will never understand the attitude of people (& successive governments) in this jurisdiction who are fine with the abandonment of our northern brothers and sisters to the whims of such a barbaric establishment.
Worse still the ones who think it's all in the past.

Róisín Murphy is a fantastic example of why second chances and "we can have different views and still be friends" is rarely a good idea in this day and age.

Loved her music but I don't need it to exist. Disenfranchised people do, however, need freedom to exist.

actually think i’d rather Bono ran for president than Geldof 🤔. at least he lives here for a start. the actual neck of Geldof? Geldof is a bigger w@nker to listen to (+ despite my strong feelings of dislike for Bono I suspect he has a modicum of self awareness that he’s broadly unliked. #speirgorm

The Gardaí were totally unwilling to intervene with the Citywest rioters because they weren't Mother's against genocide having a peaceful candle lit vigil or peaceful Debenhams picketers so they just ignored them like so many unanswered domestic abuse calls.

people on here mad to keep things civilised about Fine Gael as they destroy generations through the housing crises.

So despite knowing full well that Connolly had to take the clients assigned to her as a barrister and trailing massively in the polls, Humphries doubles down with an attack in the Sindo.
What an awful, petty, snide person she is - completely unfit to be Ireland's president.

Israel murdered 44 people in Gaza today because one of Israel's bulldozers hit unexploded ordinance and blew up.

So they blamed Hamas and used it as an excuse to go on a killing spree.

Now they say they will go back to the Ceasefire.

War Criminals committing War Crimes.

Lookit, all anyone needs to know when it comes to Fine Gael's desperate, Yank style attack is this; it was the blueshirts whoever saw the greatest housing crisis in the State's history & it was the blueshirts who lifted the eviction ban. All happily voted through by Humphreys.

The FF/FG campaign against
@catherinegalway.bsky.social, supported by the media, has highlighted the authoritarian character of Irish politics - delegitimising critical voices, opposing a diversity of perspectives, and fundamentally scared of the Irish people.

brian o’driscoll and amy huberman always seemed inoffensive enough without much controversy. why would he do such a thing after two years of mass murder. did he not know or knew and didn’t care.

As Heather Humphreys well knows and has been publicly reported, Béibhinn O’Connor is Catherine Connolly's campaign manager.

I'd say she is doing a pretty excellent job.

Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?
2? Questions
I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?

If anyone needs me I will be in the museum, lying down next to the bog bodies.

‘Locked up for 24 years’: release of Palestinian prisoners and detainees sparks joy and sorrow Nearly 2,000 people, including about 1,700 seized from Gaza and held without charge, set free from Israeli jails

While Israelis are celebrating wildly the release of their hostages, Palestinian families are terrorised that, if they dare celebrate the release of their own, hell will be visited upon them. This is not Peace breaking out. This is Apartheid at its worst! www.theguardian.com/world/2025/o...

This is what presidential looks like.

Independent candidate for Irish president Catherine Connolly TD has always supported Carers & people with disabilities. She was one of only 2 TDs who supported us in the Care Referendum @catherineconnolly.bsky.social
