Starmer has gotten his excuses in for stitching up Burnham The excuses are in, and it's what everyone expected. Starmer has never looked weaker than he does today, and that's really saying something

Oligarchy (noun): A government of and by a few at the top, who exercise power for their own benefit. Their power and wealth increase as they make laws that favor themselves, manipulate financial markets, and create monopolies that put more wealth into their pockets.

His party created a brutal system of assessments that have killed thousands. You do not just win free money on self diagnosis, he knows this, he is a liar looking to kill more people. So no change there.

I bought a house with stone cladding, it wasn’t quite that bad, but I used to give directions as, ‘Head out of the village on the main road, last house on the left with Vera Duckworth’s cladding. They always found me 😂

Once upon a time the Government ran things and they were cheap, effective, available for all, and free from profit.

Now big business runs them and they are expensive, terrible, only for the rich, and only for profit.

We need to take it all back.

I'm not sure what other socialists do. But I don't block every Keir Starmer supporter. I've many interests and when I share interests on music, art, literature, films and many other things I don't insist these people agree with my politics and hope they don't want to do that with me. However,.......

Etymology of the day: to be ‘blowing a hoolie’ (or ‘hooley’) was probably inspired by the Orkney word ‘hoolan’, a howling gale, with a touch of the ‘hooley’ that is a very noisy party thrown in.

My husband needed a hip replacement and was sent to a local private hospital by the NHS. He said the operating theatre was tiny. They promised he’d remember nothing with sedation, but he did. He didn’t feel safe.

Matt Hancock shows no shame at Covid-19 Inquiry Former Health Secretary Matt Hancock has appeared in front of the Covid Inquiry which is now in its third module. KONP members joined Covid-19 Bereaved Families for Justice UK, Clinically Vulnerable ...

"Hancock denied that the NHS was not available to all during lockdown, saying ’It depends on how you define need’ – an outrageous deceit given the tens of 1000s of patients with serious delays in diagnosis and cancelled operations."

One thing I find interesting about the echo chamber complaint is that an echo chamber just won a presidential election.

Put aside the convo of whether it’s “good” or “bad” for a moment. The far right has devoted enormous resources + time to building echo chambers & loathes spaces they don’t control

It's come to something when we have to feel relieved that our govt is willing to fulfil its legal obligations.

Baxter standing proudly next to his utterly useless special rug

Baxter standing proudly next to his utterly useless special rug

To wear him out, I spent £30 on a special rug. A human (me) hides dry food in the rug, and the dog will root for it, providing hours mental stimulation.

Turns out, Baxter hates mental stimulation. In 2 seconds he turned the rug over and shook the food out.

Look at him. So proud. What a bell-end.

Public sector pay deals help drive up UK borrowing Borrowing was £17.4bn last month, the second highest October figure since monthly records began in 1993.

Ridiculous BBC headline:
"Public sector pay deals help drive up UK borrowing".

Nothing to do with corporate welfare, contracts for cronies, Govt paying higher energy bills, HMRC not collecting £500bn since 2010, Tory legacy.

Just blame workers wanting decent pay.

ICC issues arrest warrants for Netanyahu, Gallant and Hamas commander - BBC News International Criminal Court judges say there are “reasonable grounds” they bore "criminal responsibility" for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Continuing to sell arms to Israel is to be complicit in war crimes. These arrest warrants underline how utterly indefensible it is. What is our Government waiting for?

Sturgeon caused 'all sorts of difficulties' during pandemic, claims Matt Hancock The UK Covid-19 Inquiry was shown a document from May 2020 which made a request to "reset" the relationship between the English and Scottish administrations.

So, the disgraced, philandering, former Tory Health Secretary says that Nicola Sturgeon caused 'all sorts of difficulty' during COVID. Perhaps she refused invites to parties? Or didn't agree with 'let the bodies pile high' or PPE being prioritised for England?
