Sourdough or plain?

An orange cat and a tortie cuddling. Directly behind the orange cat is a cream cushion with pale green leaves. To the right and above the tortie is a brown button tufted surface. They are both in different phases of the slow eyeblink of love.

You are my favorite person not related to me (obviously ignoring THOSE relatives entirely).
I really thought I had a photo of a Jacob and Sarah cuddle doughnut, but this pic is almost as good...
Transmission--it's an automatic.
On Monday, I managed about 5-10 minutes of my commute.
My commute is 45 minutes.
I should've known things weren't going to go well when I was hitting 5000 rpm at parking lot speeds...
Person behind me, if someone has turned their hazards on, they have not not noticed the light is green!
G hasn't yet seen the property we're buying, so Tom walked and recorded it for her. Since it's pretty anonymous, I thought I'd share it. Sound on or off doesn't matter.
Tom is many things, but a videographer isn't one of them...

Today, I am Adulting.
Tom & I accepted the counteroffer for the land we want.
I had an eye appointment. My next pair of glasses will be my first bifocals.
I put a (refundable!) deposit on a manufactured home.
I'm scheduling a look at a rental for between house closing & home completion.
Beautiful day for MIL's service.
Hilariously loud sneeze heard from across the street and half the cemetery while sitting quietly after.
Three definite "No"s, one "Eh, maybe", and the realization that our budget means that "Eh, maybe" is likely the best we're going to find as far as existing homes. We found a piece of land we like and are looking into manufactured homes, and rentals to stay in during that process.
Tom and I are looking at 4 houses today.
While I will be stuck on the factory floor...
We are under contract!
Now to search in earnest...
...too low. We're maybe going to do 1 final counter, and tell them it's final.
It's only a maybe, because we had a short notice showing today, and just learned an offer is coming! Depending on what that is, we may just refuse the latest counter, instead of countering back. (end)
I believe I told y'all we had 5 house showings last week, and 3 had expressed interest after? Well, we did get an offer, but it was extremely low. 2/3 the listing price, low, but with no inspections, barring the appraisal for financing. A couple counter offers have gone back and forth, but still (1)
MIL passed away this afternoon.
I'm trying to be strong for Tom, but my mother also died in a nursing home of a brain tumor. Mom's birthday was March 27. I have now had as many birthdays as Mom had, and she only lived about 3 weeks past her last birthday. My birthday? 3 days after Christmas (yes, I'm aware that's 9 months). (end)
A rather more important update--MIL. Tom has been visiting just about daily. She has been exhibiting more and more aphasia. She has been put on hospice. She took a turn earlier this week, and another today. She is now on oxygen. They think she has a week.

At this point, A is feeling like the neighbor is thinking about making an offer, and evidently, the people from the second showing today liked our house the best of the multiple they saw today. I wonder if we will have duelling offers? (end)
So the cats ended up staying in the carriers a few more hours--I doubt releasing and recapturing so close together would've gone well...
When I got home after the first showing, there was *another* request for tomorrow morning at 8:30. Who knows if there will be another, at this point? (6)
...the neighbor, who is looking for his son. So I think Sunday was someone unrelated?) Then questions started coming about various specific things--due diligence type questions.
Then a showing request for today from 11-12. As I was prepping for that this morning, *another* request for 3:00. (5)
Anyway, the next morning, while getting ready for church, we get a text from our realtor, A. There's a request for a showing that afternoon. So I stayed home to prep and corral the cats, and then went away for a couple hours.
Then a showing request for Monday afternoon. (Turned out this was... (4)
He thanked me, and apologized for waking me up (to be fair, it was about 10:30, so not exactly early--the robe and slippers were the big clue). When G and I went out some hours later, he was just pulling in with his wife and his adult son, and I told him roughly where the boundaries are. (3)
Saturday morning, I was awake but not up, and there was a knock on the door. A normal knock, not a cop-knock. No one ever comes here. 'Twas a neighbor asking about the house. I told him to call our realtor if he wanted to view the house, but that I was fine with him walking the property. (2)
So, I haven't been boring everyone with house selling updates, because it was depressing. Not many showings (I think 3 or 4 in 2 months?) and they all said the house is too close to the highway. Not exactly actionable!
Then the weather improved. It's been very different since Saturday. (1)

A tardigrade playing something in the violin family (looks like something bigger than a violin to me)
No reason-- just saw it Elsewhere and had to snag it.
If you see this, post a robot.

At least you weren't using your phone flashlight to find your phone!
Better than thinking, "What idiot said that?!"
