Breaking up with Adobe

So that’s just a reminder that your outrage isn’t futile, it actually affects their bottom line.

So tell all your friends. Make some memes. Stay fuckin pissed. (3)

Last year, Adobe signed up to bluesky, and the backlash to their presense drove them off the platform. Their share prices have continued to decline for the last year. Microsoft is catching a lot of heat right now for similar anti-consumer practices, and MSFT stock is down also. (2)

So Adobe are killing Flash for good. I guess it’s on us then, to stay noisy about this, if we ever hope to open our project files for the foreseeable future. (1)

You can also use Lutris to get v1 running, that's how I did it at least

I did manage to get Clip Studio Paint v1 running through Lutris. I have seen around people running the latest version, though without the launcher. I'm glad you're enjoying Linux :)

It feels good having a folder full of music stored locally. Like the good ol days. It's made me listen to full albums again too rather than just my usual playlist of liked tracks.

Need some data for a video, it'll help me big time

Question for creatives: What are the main desktop software you use?

I'll go first:

- Da Vinci Resolve
- Clip Studio Paint
- Unreal Engine
- Reaper
- FL Studio
- Affinity Photo
- Toon Boom Harmony

The audio side is still a work in progress. Fl Studio runs great in wine, but results vary when it comes to VST instruments in yabridge. There are people who've made the full switch over though, so that gives me some confidence.
