There seems to be a hysterical campaign against Starmer from within the BBC. That has been crystal clear for a long time. The usual right wing vile media are just doing their usual vileness, but I expect impartiality from the BBC. There is none now.
I thought the Mandelson appointment was an inspired choice at the time & I see no reason to change that view. It was a bold decision that deserved to be successful. Not Starmer's fault that circumstances worked out as they did, or that he was let down by the people around him.
