Boring answer: it simplified converting from user input to the tokenised representation of BASIC. I never had a 128k Spectrum where you had to type the whole word in the 128k version, so don't know if when you hit delete after a keyword did it delete the entire word or you had to delete each letter?

Not sure if it also does Z80, which seems quite critical for your current needs.

I've just discovered this: github.com/alpine9000/e...

Which has MegaDrive as a target and could be useful! I'm keen to try it for Amiga dev, but looks pretty amazing from the bits I've seen it being used for.

Damn. I took part once. It's actually really hard. Unfortunately my entry was using Flash, so it's long since utterly useless (and likely lost in the meantime to one of the harddrive crashes over the years)

Facebook has been so utterly fucked the past few days, it's kind of good because there's little to no point going on the site!

Fun! I was hoping it was going to be rendition of Martin Galway's music, but this was very good regardless.

Very nice. And by TeaDrinker who did that rather fantastic The Musicians demo!

This is my experience with LLM coding agents so far: Occasionally indistinguishable from magic, but far too often absolutely fucking useless and I would have been better off just doing it myself.

Really looking forward to getting my Next and making some demos for it. I'm kind of surprised no-one has targeted Next capabilities in a Wild compo yet.

Asking for a friend:

At what point should you seek help to stop D-D-D-Demoscene playing constantly in your brain?

I recently discovered AdP and then found out math rock is a genre I had no idea existed. Any recommendations?

PC demo comp was also incredible. 🤯

Ok, that was great. Binary was quality, but I think @gigabates.bsky.social and co might have topped it

They always use the Bank Holidays for major works, annoying as hell, but it does make some sense.
