Oh that’s a super fun fact

Car driving on the downtown mall
Car driving the wrong way down a one way
I wonder if these lost people are the same ones I’ve seen driving the wrong way down the second street crossing and even onto the mall!
Directly to garmin now too, thank god!
A great way to start your Wednesday morning is to look through your camera roll for work-related photos then see all the photos of your now deceased cat! 0/10 recommend!
My brain is forever rotted by Rio road
I mean, non students can live in rent-by-the-bedroom units? It’s already happened in Charlottesville before, but now one of those complexes sold and they’re converting it back to rent-by-the-unit units.

What UVa has started to do is buy up more land for its new dorms, ultimately taking that land off the local tax rolls, as it’s a state school.
The only generic “Charlottesville resident” in the article.
I’m not sure why we’re still interviewing a guy who lives in one of the most expensive houses in Charlottesville and is so petty he gives everyone nicknames as some kind of housing expert when that’s not his field at all. I can’t take anyone seriously who interviews him.
I love the train.
I do not love running down the street to the train because we thought it was leaving 20 minutes later 🥵
I can tell you for a fact yes.
But that’s basic reporting.
Just kidding! I won $54 dollars! 🎉🎉🎉
Well in my brackets this year I came in 2 out of 18, 14 out of 43 and 18 out of 59.
Sadly, only the first place person wins money in the bracket I came in second in.
As long as you’re in the city lot, but I don’t think the Woodard lots are towing anymore, maybe just a “ticket” or a boot?
I’ve heard that there’s no parking enforcement after the 7:30-3:30 shift is over 🤷🏼♀️
Intersection of Preston ave, ridge mcintire, mcintire road and high street in Charlottesville. Crosswalks at the slip lane onto Preston and crossing high street are circled.
In the last 5 days I’ve almost been hit in each of these crosswalks while drivers are making this movement. Today I swear the person made eye contact with me before I stepped out into the crosswalk, and last week the person hadn’t even left the slip lane yet when I started crossing High Street.
Hot take? I liked the book Project Hail Mary way better than the movie.
And I don’t understand how people are watching the movie and understanding everything!
Go back and get the little things you’ve missed! Or at least plan over time how to get those. That’s mostly what I’m left with 😅
Right behind the y is the only time I’ve ever fallen off my e-bike (and only time I’ve fallen off a bike that I remember).
Until they make a full shared use path back there, I think it’s easier to take the connector to the high school and go down grove to the shared use path along the bypass.
Big electric sign in race path
I meant to take a better photo when people were running but my hands were so cold lol.
Like come on.
For instance, census tracts in the city were mostly the same from 2010 to 2020.
The tract that includes west main up to preston and grady only increased by about 330 people and the JPA tract decreased by about 170 people. Both of those seem off.
The tract with WM added 1,500+ beds in that time.
It’s because students were undercounted, and then it sounds like the city didn’t question the count when the opportunity was available, so the city is stuck with the undercount.
“Mall crossing closed” reads on a large portable changeable message sign on water street.
A no parking sign for the cville ten miler lays on the ground.
It’s kind of crazy that the city put this right in the path of the 10 miler less than two days before the race.
My household hasn’t filled a gas tank since January, and I haven’t paid directly to fill a tank since 2025.
Tortie laying in a window with a white frame in front of gray curtains with a pink iguana toy and a pink bird toy.
We did the cville weekly scavenger hunt and found all of the images except for one: this gosh darn cat. As a certified crazy cat lady, I’m appalled with myself, but also incredibly confused. I’ve never seen this cat downtown in my life. (There is another cat in a window on the mall, but it’s gray.)
