A creative writing professor of mine in college once assigned us a short story that basically had a Camp of the Saints level view on immigration but, since the author included a "because of climate change!" disclaimer to make it Progressive, it was questioned by no one in my 99% white class.

Really disturbing how many people think it's reasonable to assume immigrants just move around like an unthinking zombie horde, leaving destruction wherever they go.
