Hansard, the official record of what is said in the legislature confirms...

Danielle Smith said:

"we’re very, very hopeful that more women will take us up on paying for this option because early diagnosis means early treatment."

They cheated to get into the #ableg and they'll keep cheating and stealing until they get turfed out.

This isn't a conservative party. It's a christofascist cult that has the keys to the province.

I guess I should be surprised that The National Post would publish something so EXPLICITLY racist, white nationalist, and xenophobic, but we're sure as hell not talking dog whistles anymore. Go put on a white hood, Jamie Sarkonak, you piece of shit.

Holy shit. "critical of cowardly westerners who have abandoned their sense of self-preservation for fear of being called racist. It mocks the leftist who foolishly welcomes hordes of disordered behaviour into his homeland; the feminist who naïvely assumes that her new compatriots won’t rape her;"

Head’s up:

There has been a recent influx of new 🇨🇦 accounts bashing the Liberal party and Canada as a whole.

Their bio is all flowers and sweetness but they are posting disinformation.

With trade negotiations about to begin, my guess is they are American interference accounts.

It does not make any sense and it will never make any sense.
It is simply the first stage of their plan to completely privatize Alberta heath care.
It is so corrupt and beyond infuriating!

prove you understand our current system... prove you understand ABs are dying waiting for tests already today in AB.

So the public MRI queue is currently broken Minister LaGrange... what guardrails will fix this? How can adding more private-pay MRIs, with no indication or need, fix this?

Help this make sense?

Fix what is broken first... prove you have a clue...

AB has Private Pay MRIs (you still need a doctor to order it now, so at least there's some expertise applied):

The wait for Public MRI is measured in months and years (even for cancers and brain tumors!), but it is 24hrs for private pay.

Opinion: Bill 29 expands Albertans' access to testing — but what happens after? Access to testing is only one part of care. Interpretation is the other. Bill 29 expands the first. It leaves the second largely unchanged.

edmontonjournal.com/...

Govt is making law to allow self-referred private testing, but can't suggest any guardrails/regulations that might apply.

Help make this make sense AB...

What guardrails can govt suggest to correct the CURRENT situation in AB?

Alberta is the canary in the coal mine for -
Introducing private healthcare
& destroying democracy

Ford, Moe, Poilievre, conservative premiers and CPC MPs have all mentioned introducing private healthcare

Destroying our democracy is a great way to achieve that

If we are governing ourselves by referenda, can we just abolish the premier and the UCP? #superfluous #redtapereduction

It’s the bloody worst isn’t it. Some folks here just can’t seem to connect the dots when it comes to the UCP. They sure as fuck aren’t conservative by any stretch of the imagination but hey they’re owning the libs.

Dear @liberalca.bsky.social🇨🇦:
Please continue to shun Rebel “News”.
They’re not real journalists, just neofascist provocateurs.
Not “second class citizens either.
Rather, ditchbillies.
Not worth anyone’s time or attention.

Greg Clark and Susan Samson have issued a clarification to the final version of the majority report on the boundaries commission.

The majority did NOT support immediately adding in two more seats.

Moments after @GregClarkAB released his statement reiterating that the majority of the commission wanted to see the full report adopted...

Smith claimed in effect that Clark actually wanted the 91 seats and the judge said what she wanted to hear.

This is...

Revealing.

Today Smith said that if Albertans didn't like the time change, there could be an ADDITIONAL referendum question added during the 2027 election...

So there will be another referendum in 2027 and they already have questions?

5 Lessons from 1995 What the Quebec referendum tells us about Alberta secession

As we prepare for Premier Smith's announcement about the referendums this fall, here are some lessons we might learn from Quebec's most recent experience with a sovereignty vote.

Last year the municipality declared an agricultural emergency because of drought.

I am following the politics in Alberta and am so impressed with the civic address the citizens of Alberta have used successfully to push back against the UCP government. It takes real effort and dedication to keep pushing against this terribly flawed govt I support the good people of Alberta 💪❤️

They might get away with that if gerrymandering had not become such a huge issue down south. There will be blowback. We'll have to see if it's enough.

The UCP had better pay attention to the gerrymandering fight in the US. If they open the door to ignoring a majority report, the next non-UCP government can do the same.
