More Iranian officials killed. Deeply troubling how warfare is being reduced to extrajudicial killings and politically motivated assassinations. Not just military targeting, but political elimination. All this technology, yet the logic looks closer to a mafia-style power struggle.

First 6 Days of Iran War Cost U.S. $11.3 Billion, Pentagon Says

That's about half of what it cost for USAID for a whole year www.nytimes.com/live/2026/03...

Three days ago, Israel ordered the south evacuated. Two days ago, they did the same to the southern suburbs. That’s more than one million people. Some, the most vulnerable, are sleeping rough by the sea or on sidewalks. Today, it is raining. War harms the poor the most.

These days I can’t stop watching Al Jazeera (maybe trying to guess where I’ll be deployed next). US officials sound like a stream of inconsistencies, loose arguments and obvious lies. you can almost feel the disbelief in the room. Israeli officials are more direct. But what they say is horrifying.

It is not only about #oil. A full blockade of the Strait of Hormuz + airspace would empty fresh food shelves in 1–2 weeks across the Gulf states and cities. Almost nothing is produced locally. Shortages and rationing would hit fast.

I was born in an Iranian prison. My parents were held in their jails. My uncles lie in their mass graves.
Nothing you can tell me about the crimes of the Iranian regime that I haven't lived in blood and bone.
That doesn't mean I want my people bombed, maimed, killed, their homes in ruins.
If your vision of liberation comes only through the destruction of innocent lives, then it's not freedom you're after.

I am pro Iranian people. I stand with them against their own government’s repression AND against the imperial violence in the form of bombs dropped from the sky from Israel & the US who have already killed hundreds.

I support neither imperialism or dictatorship.

this is so silly and W started it. State actors are not terrorist organizations. Terrorist means non-state actor. State actors are war criminals. Immense legal and diplomatic wrongs flow from confusing the two, including preemptive wars

Iran accused of ‘campaign of revenge’ as doctors arrested for treating protesters US state department calls for the release of all detained healthcare workers as at least one arrested surgeon reported to be at risk of execution

Imagine applying to Israel the exact language Western governments use with #Iran:
“Tsahal added to terror list organizations”, “release prisoners and protect healthcare workers”, “respect civil rights”, “pressure linked to a nuclear deal”.
Would consistency be too much to ask?

I always struggled to understand what pushed Stefan Zweig to end his life. Today, living in a time when bad guys seem to be winning everywhere and shitty values are rising all around us, I start to understand the feeling. www.theguardian.com/global-devel...

While media talk about a peace deal between #DRC and #Rwanda, people on the ground don’t seem to believe the war will stop. In my team they expect M23 to keep moving toward Kisangani, with a real risk for Kasaï. If Kalemie falls, the road to Kinshasa is wide open. The risk of an escalation is real.

#COP30 showed us that you don’t need a U.S. delegation to sabotage a climate conference. Other countries’ lack of political will, combined with an army of lobbyists, can do the job just fine. #COP30ODG

The #Nobel #Peace Prize keeps sinking lower. Giving it to someone who’s called for military insurrection and foreign intervention against their own country is as absurd as when they gave it to Obama or the EU

Here’s the full text of Trump’s 20-point plan to end Israel’s war on Gaza The White House says its proposal would end the war on Gaza immediately if both sides accept.

The most shocking part of Trump’s 20-point “peace” plan is its total disregard for democracy and Palestinians’ right to vote. No elections are planned. Palestinians will be governed indefinitely by others — including the old metropole. #politicalrights www.aljazeera.com/news/2025/9/...

UNRWA chief: ‘Gaza is becoming the graveyard of international humanitarian law’ With famine declared and nearly 63,000 dead in less than two years, Philippe Lazzarini condemns the international community’s failure to act against Israel’s impunity

What is happening and being accepted today in Gaza is not something that can be isolated; it will become the new norm for all future conflicts english.elpais.com/internationa...

Evaluating the impact of two decades of USAID interventions and projecting the effects of defunding on mortality up to 2030: a retrospective impact evaluation and forecasting analysis USAID funding has significantly contributed to the reduction in adult and child mortality across low-income and middle-income countries over the past two decades. Our estimates show that, unless the a...

#USAID funding helped prevent 91.8 million deaths (35.2M under 5) from 2001–2021.
Now, steep cuts could cause 14M more deaths by 2030 — 4.5M of them children.
Aid saves lives. Cutting it costs them.

US to give $30m to Gaza Humanitarian Foundation despite violent and chaotic rollout of food distribution Grant makes US a direct backer of aid organization that reportedly has collaboration with Israeli government

I’ve overseen many aid distributions—some funded by #USAID, some in #Gaza. No deaths, no major incidents, always with attention to vulnerable people and human rights. What’s happening now—exposing civilians to death at aid points—is deliberate and unnecessary. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

So the main outcome of the US-Israel war on Iran’s nuclear program? Iran likely quitting the NPT, advancing its nuclear program without IAEA oversight, and deciding it needs nukes—because multilateral orgs couldn’t/didn't protect it from a non-compliant NPT state. Great job, folks.

Those responsible are not humanitarian actors.
They are perpetrators, and they must be held accountable.

Mix this with the presence of weapons and no community role, and you create a recipe for violence, chaos, and death. This is not humanitarian aid—it’s disaster by design.
