A better question is:”What’s the average IQ of MAGA?”

The bias for Tampa Bay on @tntsportsus.bsky.social analyst panel cannot be more obvious. They refer to Tampa Bay as “we”.
That was a lame

I’m thinking the same about Paul Bissonnette on TNT
Heading to AXPONA tomorrow to give one of the Keynotes on Saturday. More info here:

Turns out the main issue was the AP Bluetooth module main output volume was reset to 0 when pairing/connecting the APP2 muting the signal to the headphone. Measuring it now is pretty easy and repeatable
I just measured the Nothing (1) headphone.....
I have spent the last couple of days measuring the Apple AirPods Pro 3 and can confirm that it's tricky trying to measure it on a GRAS45CA-10 with an AP x517 with Bluetooth module. The wear sensor is the biggest pain but is HAM the answer?

The latest Podcast discusses my LinkedIn post about individual variations in headphone measurements made in human ears and how they different from test fixtures. The topic is in the Patreon section which means it's time for you to contribute a monthly donation.

2-1 Carolina. Habs 91 tips shot from point from 34. Signs of a pulse
@habsonreddit.bsky.social down 2-0 after 10 minutes. They suck big time
He’s thinking Lady Byng Memorial Trophy rather than Selke. Just goes to show he is always in control and knows there is no point given the score
Fowler definitely playing like the 2nd/ backup goalie
I had lunch last week with someone at Apple who works on headphones . When I mentioned the unusual tuning of Airpod max 1 the response was “I work for the audio equivalent of the CIA and have no comment”
I posted a summary of @oratory1990.bsky.social ‘s excellent seminar given at @canjamsky.bsky.social 2 weekends ago over on LinkedIn. He discussed the discrepancy in frequency response between open and closed back headphones on humans vs test fixtures

Not much love shown here.

Has anyone checked lately to see if they are still the 24th worse team defensively? It seems too high
A comprehensive review of Toole et al.'s Sound Reproduction 4th Edition is available in April 2026's Audio Express here: simplecirc.com/view_issue/7...
Sometimes writers have already written the story before they talk to you and just take the parts from your interview to confirm their viewpoint and skip the rest.
It works wonders below the transition frequency at least for one seat. And multiple subs can male it work over a wider seating area. I use two subs and Dirac Live in my home theater setup below 500 Hz.
Most of the target curves specified for in-room speaker calibration do not mention listening distance or speaker performance. The further you move away from the speaker the more the sound power comes into play and you risk improving that st the expense of the direct sound.
Floyd Toole likes to call in-room target curves “results” - not design goals. I think if you start with a good loudspeaker ( flat on- axis, smooth directivity) and only equalize below 500 Hz to deal with standing waves then these issues come less into play.
Wired headphones are making a comeback but I don’t think it has much to do with sound quality but more to do with reliability and sustainability (batteries die).

They cost 50’cents so the main goal is to make sound. Fidelity is random.
Have not tried it but i understand the premise: a universal in-room target is not optimal because it doesn’t account for the loudspeaker directivity, measurement distance and room acoustics. So a different target would be needed if you are measuring in the near field where mostly direct sound vs FF

What would it score on the MDAC scales? It has pretty high distortion too.
