Holy shitballs! I can’t believe it’s been seven months since top surgery! It has been a joy each day to have the correct chest. I’m looking forward to a holiday season without binders and uncomfortable hugs. 🥳

I did it! My chest is a proper one (for me) now! Not only has this been the best surgical experience (Nuffield Health, Plymouth), but it has been the most essential for my sense of self. I know that post surgical depression might happen; but for now, I can’t stop smiling.

My whole family lives there and my mum made me promise that I wouldn’t come…even if there is a funeral. It breaks my heart.

I’m spending the night in Plymouth. My pre-op assessment is tomorrow and, if all goes well, I’ll be having surgery in a little over a fortnight. 🤞🤞🤞🤞

They are freaking awesome and, for the first time ever, I hope my feet are wee enough to fit into them. 😁

I know someone who almost fully fits this description and I’d read a story/watch a show about her, for sure!

I just read Most Ardently which is a retelling of Pride and Prejudice but the main character is a gay transman. It was gentle and left a glow in my heart.

I wish I had the words to somehow make this whole thing better, but I don’t. All I can say is you are not alone. Hold on…be a safe harbour for your kids and others in the community. As long as we hold each other, we will weather this storm.

I got a very sweet surprise from my partner today. Even though adjusting to my transition hasn’t been the easiest for him, he’s always been supportive of my queerness. Little surprises like these (especially since they support local businesses and local pride events) remind me of why I adore him.
