Happy 17776 Day!

Yeah definitely a sleeper race (though still Likely R IMO), Calvert would probably be the weaker of the two given previous election results. I actually think he might be favored to advance in June, more of his old district is in the new one than hers and a lot of R pols are endorsing him over her.
Would probably rate it as a Tossup for now before we have more concrete polling. Jasmeet Bains does have a history of overperforming but would probably be a Blue Dog if she won. Progressives are backing Randy Villegas but not sure if he can beat Valadao in a district that did still vote for Trump.
Of the five GOP reps who got drawn out by Prop 50:
Valadao: Staying and fighting
Kiley: Moving to another district that he’ll probably still lose (as an independent???)
Calvert: Trying to backstab Young Kim
Issa: Retiring
LaMalfa: Dead

Crockett getting crushed in San Antonio
For the Texas Senate primaries going to predict:
Paxton 46
Cornyn 39
Hunt 13
Others 2
Talarico 52
Crockett 48
Hassan <1
He did, he said “the big ones with their inhuman brutality take the fun out of fighting.” Fighting against actual existential threats to freedom and democracy where the fascists as just as strong as you is just too scary compared to enemies you vastly outmatch in firepower.
Did the name “Islamic Society of Greater Houston” and the logo not give it away when they agreed to participate?
I can’t be the only one who thinks Mike Macdonald looks vaguely like Pierre Poilievre
Fellow 49ers fans reading this, we need to let Jed York, John Lynch, and Kyle Shanahan know that if we want the Niners to win one, we need to repeal Prop 13. This isn’t any crazier than the substation theory, and even if it doesn’t work, it would still make living in our state a lot more affordable!
Forget the substation, my new theory is that Proposition 13 passing in 1978 gave the 49ers 5 Super Bowls over the next 20 years but cursed them to never win again after that. Like the property tax cap, conservative boomers took away from future generations for their own short-term interests.
Also this only includes data from 24 states so could be missing a ton of players on each team
Yeah, can definitely see that. Stephen Curry has similar vibes, fairly liberal on social issues but also helped block an affordable housing project in his neighborhood and was a big crypto guy
As a 49ers fan:
1. Ouch
2. Bosa counts for 30%
3. Niners are still pretty good at hiring and promoting diverse staff (most JC-2A draft picks and Stephen Miller’s firm sued them for “DEI practices” last year)
4. Kyle Shanahan is AFAIK the only head coach to be arrested for standing up to racist cops
2-0
Sticking with my current pick
Super Bowl LX: Seahawks > Patriots
Super Bowl MVP: Leonard Williams
Texans were my AFC pick because I thought the defense was good enough to survive a bad Stroud game but I underestimated how bad a game he could have.
3-1 in the Divisional Round
Conference championship predictions:
NFC Championship: Seahawks>Rams
AFC Championship: Patriots>Patriots
Super Bowl LX: Seahawks>Patriots
Super Bowl MVP: Leonard Williams
Went 4-2 in the Wild Card Round:
Divisional round predictions:
Broncos>Bills
Texans>Patriots
Seahawks>49ers
Rams>Bears
NFC Championship: Seahawks>Rams
AFC Championship: Texans>Broncos
Super Bowl LX: Seahawks>Texans
Super Bowl MVP: Leonard Williams
Fair enough, I think the “if they advance” is implied by this part of the season, but I get your point.
As a 49ers fan I do think it’ll be tough to win on Saturday (I even predicted the Hawks to win it all), but thats why the games are played. Here’s to a good game with no injuries on either side!
Doesn’t mean that they are overlooking their upcoming opponent or think a win is guaranteed, just means that they want him ready if they do win. Nothing to do with the Seahawks at all.
Why would it be disrespectful to have him start practicing? All it does is give them more time to evaluate his progress and get him ready for next week if they win. Any team, including the Seahawks, would obviously do the same if they had a key player getting close to a return.
NFC Championship: Seahawks>Bears
AFC Championship: Texans>Jaguars
Super Bowl LX: Seahawks>Texans
Super Bowl MVP: Leonard Williams
