Dual pedestrian - cycle routes are not feasible in Ireland as it stands. They are too dangerous for walkers.

Walkers are taking their life in their hands on the Midleton to Youghal section at the moment.

Kennedy Quay, Cork city in September 1985 when warships of the U.S.A. and the Soviet Union docked practically side by side. There wasn’t to be any engagement between the superpowers however. When questioned, Rear Admiral Gromov curtly responded that “There won’t be any contact with the Americans".
