I’m going with schwannoma.

Someone was telling me yesterday about a blind sailor who could helm a yacht by sound and the feel of the breeze on his face. That said operating with vision is probably optimal.
Oh but hang on this wasn’t the right kind of PRP and it was given in the wrong way or this randomised trial ignores my very important anecdotal experiences. 😂
Look, you guys already call crisps chips, coriander cilantro, and rocket arugula. We’re quite used to you having weird alternative names for stuff. Happy to nod along.
That is great. I might have to insist on all my patients having a St George’s cross on their casts. You know just to identify them easily as my patients 😂
I saw a good cast over the Christmas period that had been done in festive green and red stripes.
Cool splint. We should get some.
Does it start with “ski” and end in “ing”?
I knew taking pictures of these signs would prove useful one day!
Did that go in there? That’s an expensive whiskey to use as an ingredient!
Yes it’s Christmas Day, yes it’s Christmas Day, it’s Chir hi hi hi hi stmas Day.
This confirms everything I previously thought!
Anyone used the ACT system for osteochondal allograft? Pros? Cons? Experiences? #orthosky
I’m not sure how robust this data is. Zero seems like a very small number even for the UK.
TBF that is what I understand you Americans refer to as a “butt load”.
If I detected one I’d probably EUA it and place syndesmotic fixation if needed. Can’t say it’s a situation I’ve recognised to date. Perfectly possible that I’ve seen it but not recognised it. Any data on how common these injuries are as a proportion of ankle sprains?
So… what you’re saying is that you’ve treated at least 10,000 medial epicondyle fractures? Okay, I’ll buy it. 😂
Pretty envious of the skiing right now. Especially as I’m melting in the heat here.
About as well as my daily reminder not to eat chocolate.
Mostly.
If he thinks you’re anonymous he definitely doesn’t follow your posts 😂
We have addressed this problem by (mostly) not having stairwells. One fringe benefit of working in a high seismic risk location where land is not at a premium.
This is a source of friction in our home. Mrs Dr McHale is a big fan of the pentatonix Christmas album. For me…
You can only do your best. After all it’s not like you broke his ankle (I assume!).
Similar to Francisco. Creating an anterior/superior pocket is key. I often use a Bristow just above to acetabulum to clear soft tissue. I used to use various things to cover the trunion but generally don’t bother now.
I’ve managed to sort it. I had to go into my account settings on the website and turn on “adult content”. There’s then options regarding different kinds of adult content so you can still block porn but be able to see cases.
Sadly this has been blocked by a moderator, which seems to be a problem on Bluesky.
I agree that operating prone is a struggle. I find it best to operate while standing, although occasionally I do sit down.
