Got my first ever 5-0 Legacy League today with trusty old Big Dimir! The deck feels like home at this point.

R4 UB Tempo 2-0 (Moonshadow + Shredder)
R5 UR Cam Combo (Emry + Cutter)

Happy birthday!
I find that user's perspective fascinating, but so different from how I see these things myself. I'm much more aligned with you in the sense that I think friction and tension bring excitement and novelty. I think there's a parallel to the AAA vs indie video game experience there as well.
Got the UB mirror in semis and lost g3 after keeping a one-lander on the draw. ggs to everyone, the event was great!
First place after Swiss in today's spontaneous 15-player @ecobaronen.bsky.social cup! Playing my trusty old Dimir pile. Let's see if I can close out this Top 4
I've felt that way about ABBA for a long time, it's too polished in a way.

Thanks so much to 4Seasons for working with me on this to get this data!
965 Players is gas. Enjoy folks!

This place is probably gonna be flooded with Magic B&R discourse today, but some good news from yesterday: I won my store's Riftbound release event! Game is super sweet and surprisingly complex.
Oh yeah I feel that, I already don't love doing it with an actual teacup when it's too large. Nowadays, my usual setup is whichever number of ~25-30ml teacups fits the volume of my vessel
That Sapporo mug goes hard though I won't lie
I tried it with a friend last weekend, and even with the basic Proving Grounds starter decks, the game was already surprisingly deep. I'd say give it a try, if only casually, and see how you feel afterwards.
"Well I got one already, why shouldn't I go into debt to complete the playset?"
Those are the exact bans I'd like to see. Sadly I don't expect all four of them to happen either, but I hope that we can at least get started on trimming down that list.
I'm seriously considering buying a deck on MTGO and will likely do so after the next BnR. Having a small cushion of play points would be a massive help with being able to run leagues back after having a rough one.
My #MTGLegacy article for the week is live! Let's talk about Eternal Weekend 2025!

Possession (1981) was amazing
I was gonna comment on your first post by saying that while I think the cards we've seen are really interesting and creative so far, I've been worried about the recent trend of in-universe sets increasingly relying on references and callbacks, so I'm happy to see you point that out as well.
Finally back on here after my PC had been broken for the past 2 weeks. Won this with Cradle Nadu at a local tournament a couple of weeks ago.
Also, look at this unrelated Tundra.
Got a nice little 4-1 with good old Cradle Nadu, only losing to honestly one of the coolest decks I've seen in a long time.
3-0-1 at the local Legacy monthly with Cradle Nadu. I felt lost in the format ever since the lack of BnR update, but I think I found a comfortable spot.
R1 BW Death n Taxes 2-0
R2 mirror - intentional arrogance draw with a friend
R3 Mono W Stompy (Clarion Conqueror and friends) 2-0
R4 UB Tempo 2-1

Thank you @DaybreakGames @MagicOnline for making this possible!
Yeah, as good as the one before this one was, the most recent one was just rough - even regardless of whether one would want anything banned or not. The text itself just showcased such a massive disconnect
Looking at this second graph, it feels like we might genuinely be in a format with a Tier 0 deck at this point.
Ohh I didn't realise that that's something that already exists - #1 is a safe bet for sure
If there's only 20 total copies, 20/20 would win for sure
best-in-slot choice for tournament pens tbh
The only way I'm looking at the time until next March with optimism is that having a known and stable meta is a good environment to focus on improving my own skills as a player.

What if you
Wanted to play bad cards in Legacy
But wotc said
"No changes"
