Honestly revisiting these memories cured something in me and I am so glad I had the opportunity to write this piece!!!! 💖💖💖 Y’all best not be sleeping on TWOA!!!!

I just want to shield my employees and co-workers from this shit. People are getting out of control and it is affecting peoples mental health, esteem, and overall life. Enough is enough. Have some empathy ffs.

And so help me god if any of this is taken out of context or if you try to use it against me or to make me lose my job, I will not stand for it. And trust me, people have tried before. But I know what I’m talking about. I may have imposter syndrome but I’m good at my job.

You want to complain and insult? Fine, my DMs and comments are open. I wrote yaoi fanfiction in the early 2000s, you cannot hurt me in a way that matters. But the blatant cruelty and vitriol I see happening in more and more comments has got to stop. My employees and coworkers do not deserve it.

We can legitimately change the temperament that is currently in all fandoms. But it means taking a step back and realizing that just because you’re passionate about something, that doesn’t mean you can tear others down when you don’t like something.

And as much as I would love to abolish capitalism (you should hear me on Threads) anime and manga is still a BUSINESS. Decisions are made based on so may factors and variables that the public wouldn’t understand nor needs to know. I’m asking for a little grace. Stop assuming everything is malicious

Real people are behind every post, book, project, EVERYTHING. We work hard to do our jobs and keep the community happy. But we are humans—no AI, I refuse—and mistakes do happen. At the end of the day though, we also have responsibilities tied to our jobs. Our livelihoods. We have rules and contracts
