My favorite work thing to do is describing drag injuries with no context. Most recently:

Him: “How’d you hurt your knee?”
Me: “I jumped off the bar last night and landed wrong.”
Him: *visibly confused* “Why were you on the bar?”
Me: *looks at him like he’s the problem* “Because I was dancing????”

One of my favorite ways to rep is through the fluidity of my characters. My family genders everything, so I like to use only names and “they” while readers paint the characters themselves. Just my way of saying: you don’t need to know the parts to know the person 🫶🏼

Exactly. You should be disgusted. Because gender-affirming care is labeled elective all the time. Funny how the outrage only kicks in when cis men’s erections are at stake. Now imagine living in a body that doesn’t feel like home—and being told fixing that is merely ‘cosmetic.’ That’s our reality.

Just to clarify I say “elective care” vs “life saving” because gender affirming care looks different to everyone. There’s no one path to gender euphoria. Some trans folk are cool with just pronouns and some want a fully medical transition.

Either way, cis people have no room to speak on it.

Gender-affirming care = elective care.

Wild how many cis folks think they have any say in trans healthcare.

You think top surgery is “unnecessary”?
