It was always a tale of elitism. A poor little boy who is “special” from birth is nonetheless treated badly by ignorant commoners, until he rejoins the company of other “special” people. (2)

I've been priced out of following any kind of sports casually. It is now a lifestyle choice to be into a team. Watching requires four different subscription services and checking for blackouts. Used to be a given that games would be on a local station. Another thing lost to digital feudalism.
