That's good news! I visited DC in the fall and loved using the tourist bikes to get around and see it. The paths and bike infra felt very safe, and I wouldn't say that about too many places I've gone. Looking at you especially, Dallas.

I can only speak for myself of course, but it's several things for me:
- I work from home part-time.
- My neighborhood bus is unreliable.
- It's a 20 min drive, 30 min bike ride, or over an hour by bus to get to work.
- Kids aren't free on transit anymore so cabs are faster and often cheaper.
Here's an example from the meal I took yesterday. I forgot to actually take a picture but I can assure you I did not eat 2/3 cup of bacon, or 1/2 cup each of pasta and pepper. I had to tweak the numbers down quite a bit and add oil for the fried veggies. Overall not bad, easier than hand jamming it.
Most definitely a squirrel in its larval stage. A grey, fuzzy blob growing on a reddish branch.
My kids don't believe me anymore when I tell them these are squirrels in their larval stage. โน๏ธ
It identifies the food components well but doesn't get the measurements right. I love cilantro but I don't add a cup of it to my tacos.
That would be excellent! It's fairly decent but I find I use the picture as a base or a rough guess. I always edit it. It still saves me a bit of time, especially when I grab something premade or from a restaurant.
You absolutely should! If she's got a Bambu printer, I found this model right in their app. I'm adding more support structure and slowing down the speed of the print. Hopefully that solves the wing problem.
Good luck and happy printing!
Thank you for your kind words! I do value the quiet time outside most of all.
Congrats on your Boston run! That's quite an achievement.
No, I've only ever printed for personal use so far. I'm having a rough go of 'er with this one, too. Can never quite get the wings to print properly.
Here's the Garmin info that Chronometer gets (don't judge my sleep please, I was on trains for ten hours the day before ๐).
I use it too, and I'll admit I haven't given it a full security review. I also connect with Garmin. It's limited in what it can get from Garmin in terms of data as G has some exclusive agreements with other apps (like FitBit). I've had mixed results with the food photos. Needs some tweaking usually.
Good news: I can run 8k now!
Bad news: My pace is still extra slow.
I got my run finished just ahead of the rain. I'll keep working on distance to 10k, then pace.
The river is high, but the trail is good so far. I spotted a beaver and a turkey.

It can be aggravating when you just want to tear into your food. That said, meticulous logging is the only way I've ever lost weight in recent years. I'm about to start it up again, too.
A sunny, foggy day in Toronto. I saw a raccoon!
It's rainy out and I feel like I've been hit by a truck because of all the gym classes.
Time to 3D print some dragons.

I've joined sandbag filling teams before and I'll do it again if I have to (but I hope we don't have to).
Good on you for taking another kick at it! Hope your training goes well.
Totally overwhelmed with tulip tourists is my guess. ๐
You look fantastic! I'd say go for it on the Hyrox, especially if having a lofty goal motivates you. Good luck in your training, either way! ๐ช
Maybe this was not the wisest move the day after intense HYROX training, but I'll be so busy with work this week, I might not get another class in till the weekend. Strength and Conditioning! Wrist held up well until bicep curls. I had to go a little light, and icing now.

This was a brisket, which is forbidden for his breed sadly. They have trouble digesting certain proteins. Other than his disappointment that he can't eat the brisket, he's doing well. He's got a pretty good heart afterall.
We have some friends come out with us for the lodge experience and the hot tub after skiing. Maybe he'd be up for that? ๐
But if not, it sounds like he more than makes up for it in other great ways!
No way, it was ski in your hoodie weather that day. ๐ We get a different definition of 'warm' and 'cold' up here.
HYROX class done! I was the only one who came out haha, so it was personal training. Tough class - we did one round of running and then four minutes of each exercise. Basically do the exercise until you think you're going to die, then your partner switches in. I liked it.

For that reason, and many others, I've been estranged from my parents for years. Since I started painting again a few weeks ago, it's the first time I've felt some peace about it all. I might never be good at it, but that's ok. Or, maybe I'll surprise myself. At least I finally feel free to try.
I still try to make excuses for them sometimes but it sounds flat, even to me. They were cruel to burn that out of me. I can never imagine doing that to my daughter, who also loves art. I couldn't look at her, poring over her latest project, and tell her she's a disappointment
I want better for her
I loved art as a kid. I painted these lynxes when I was 16 or 17, and I think if I had kept it up all these years I would be good at it. This was pretty good I think.
My parents strongly disapproved of my art and my artistic side, and so I gave it up for over 25 years, till just a few weeks ago
I love this flower. It always blooms in the springtime and sometimes around Christmas, too. My phone camera doesn't do it justice, but when the light hits it just the right way in the morning, you can see glitter on the petals.

Strength class was good yesterday! I could even do the problem exercises like sled push and bench press as long as I kept it light and my thumb tucked. I functionally have no opposable thumb on my sprained side. I'll take it.
Beautiful out - have to decide between run and bike.
