Most of the world stands behind democracy.
But the United States?
We waver. We whisper. We edge closer to the very thing we claim to oppose.
Above the U.S. Capitol, inscribed in Latin, is a phrase we love to quote
“Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.”
That wasn’t just a poetic flourish.
It was a promise. A threat to tyrants.
A declaration of who we claimed to be.
Russia’s refusal to even sit at the table—its continued strikes on Ukraine
makes one thing absolutely clear
The world stands on a strange precipice.
Democracy is on the brink. Authoritarianism is rising.
And there is only one way to push it back:
We must stand.
We must fight.
We must decide who we are.
