I was taken directly to surgery too, at that point I'd completely disassociated. I lost reality at some point in the last few pushes because of what had/was happening and have very spotty memory for the hours following, which is additional trauma in itself.

Trauma? Well here's also a whole person to keep alive ✨️

I was offered a c section after I was taken to birthing for decreased fetal movement because they anticipated a chance of some complications, I said no, if I go back I'm having the C, a fast labour makes that harder 😭😭😭

Literally happened multiple times now that someone who knows I had a traumatic birth just asks when I'm having another baby. Like??? Can you at least wait until the stitches are dissolved to ask lmao.

Its super wild that everyone person in this world was birthed and many births have traumatic experiences like mine and society just expects you to pick yourself up and move on from it immediately.

They keep saying "your labour was really short for your first time so at least your next will be faster" 😭😭

There's many things they don't tell you about pregnancy, birth and post-partum unless you seek the information yourself. But even after reading about it myself and why it happens, the breastfeeding uterus contractions? Absolutely unfair. Like what the fuck.
