Look at us C.S. Lewis-ing.
🌟🌟
When things go wrong, you'll find they usually go on getting worse for some time; but when things once start going right they often go on getting better and better.
#SundaySentence from The Magician’s Nephew by C.S. Lewis.
From EARTHSEED: THE BOOKS OF THE LIVING Choose your leaders with wisdom and forethought. To be led by a coward is to be controlled by all that the coward fears. To be led by a fool is to be led by the opportunists who control the fool. To be led by a thief is to offer up your most precious treasures to be stolen. To be led by a liar is to ask to be told lies. To be led by a tyrant is to sell yourself and those you love into slavery.
Octavia E. Butler, 1998:

This looks terrific!
Is it lying when one knows how one wants things to turn out and then says what is needed to achieve that result?
Another #SundaySentence from VIGIL by George Saunders.
Came here to see if anyone else heard that exchange. Thank you!
So pretty. Be gentle to yourself. xo
Such a great feeling!
Gosh, I still have these wee books. Thanks for the much needed smile. ☃️

THEY TRIED TO GET A WARRANT TO CRIMINALLY INVESTIGATE THE WOMAN THEY SHOT DEAD
It’s terrific. I mean, of course it is, lol.
Loved this book with my whole heart.
“But to me, it's becoming clear that writing and reading is a way of simply underscoring that human connection is important, that you can know my mind and I can know yours, which is a vastly consoling idea, and we need it.”
#SundaySentence from George Saunders Is No Saint, NYT Magazine 1/18/2026.
I started the audiobook of Hammered: The Fight of My Life by Dave Shultz (with Dan Robson), and beautifully narrated by Wayne Ward.
Raw, honest, & heartbreaking. Schultz holds nothing back in the telling of his story. Can't wait to listen to more.
Don’t miss it. #BookSky
