Great! I’ll take a look

Congratulations!
I’m just coming to the tail end of cancer treatments. Writing under chemo was hard but it also kept my mental health in check.
Go us!
Congratulations!
Furthest I’ve been from home (Altadena, California)
North: Nova Scotia, Canada
South: La Paz, Mexico
East: Seoul, South Korea
West: Avalon, California
Loglines!
I’m also waiting for results from scans after six months of chemo. Fingers crossed for both of us!
I jump around some at the outline phase, but once I start writing I plow straight through, front-to-back.
I’m stuck in doctors’ appointments all morning. I just want to be home, revising my Southern Gothic feature
Congratulations!
Thank you so much Sheila!
Have a dynamite day!
Yesterday I finished a second draft of my horror screenplay set in rural Georgia on an old prison farm.
I think it’s some of my best writing.
I sent it for a Blacklist evaluation. Fingers crossed.

Good news: I just finished my horror feature screenplay
Bad news: it’s not even 70 pages.
Time to do some brainstorming. lol

Isn’t it nice? Thanks
Thanks! So far so good.
Thank you!
I had a great writing streak this morning. I’m working on a Deep South horror script.
I’m undergoing chemotherapy so my energy levels are low. Since starting chemo I can usually only 2-4 pages a day. Today I wrote 16!
I’m so happy!

I just finished a fourth draft of a holiday romcom. I totally agree: it’s much easier to bear my Christmas playlist nearer the holidays.
Congratulations! Are you going to send to film festivals? I currently have a micro-budget short showing on the circuit. It’s so fun!
Anyway, very happy for you!

Doing more research on demons. This time I just finished The Devils & Evil Spirits of Babylonia, edited by R. Campbell Thompson.
It’s a bi-lingual edition of ancient Babylonian plates.
Great info about demons and Babylonian religion in general.

As research for a script, I just finished reading The Testament of Solomon
It’s from the 1st to the 5th centuries. It contains a catalogue of demons Solomon enslaved to build the First Temple.
This printing contains a number of typos but I enjoyed it immensely nonetheless

My brain is torn in two.
Should I revise my Holiday Romcom? Or should I continue outlining my Deep South Horror script?
They’re so different!

I just finished this beautiful graphic novel biography, The Incantations of Daniel Johnston by artist Ricardo Cavolo and writer Scott McClanahan
I couldn’t put it down!

I just finished this amazing book, The Origin of Consciousness in the Break Down of the Bicameral Mind by Julian Jaynes.
It puts forth the theory that consciousness developed just 3000 years ago.
The theory includes the origins of religion, science, schizophrenia, poetry and music.

As research for a new script, I just finished this fun collection of literature about the Mojave.
True Tales of the Mojave Desert: from Talking Rocks to Yucca Man edited by Peter Wild
It captures the wild nature of the desert. I recommend it!

Last night was a cool experience for me: I watched my first short film on the big screen at the Chinese Theater in Hollywood as part of the Silicon Beach Film Festival.
Ours was the least expensive short shown by a lot, but it stood up well against the better-funded films.

My writing is fueled by vibes, so for me, important items are good speakers for music and a place to burn incense/candles
Will do! Thanks
I’m currently undergoing chemotherapy and my writing has become a lot harder. Where I used to be able to write 10 pages a day, now I get 2-3.
I’m celebrating, however, because I’m finally happy with my outline and am 10 pages into my holiday romcom

That’s how Reverend Jim (“Iggy”) came to be on Taxi, isn’t it?
Emily Wilson’s translation of The Odyssey is incredibly inspiring. Though it’s a bit of a time commitment.
