The SAVE Act is not about whether a photo ID should be required for voting. Under the SAVE Act, the forms of ID most people use for voting, like a drivers license or military ID would not be accepted at the polls. They are trying to keep people from voting.

Gun Owners of America is lobbying Congress to pass the SAVE Act, which would require a majority of Americans to show a passport to register to vote.
But GOA opposes any law that requires showing a drivers license to buy a gun.
These are not serious people.
It's never been about rights. Now they're getting dangerously close to admitting it.

“We’re talking about a state legislature that for over a decade now has refused to take up any life-saving, sensible gun violence prevention policies, and is blaming local leaders when they’ve tied their hands to a point where they’re unable to act effectively.” www.thetrace.org/2025/12/milw...

This week at the Capitol in Madison, extremist Republican legislators introduced several bills that are straight from the playbook of the corporate gun industry. Contact your legislators now and ask them to oppose these bills!

every eleven minutes
About 1 person dies by suicide in the U.S. every 11 minutes. Every one of these deaths is preventable.
Recently, countless people saw the social media video of a man being murdered. It was horrific. This is also what children see when their friends are shot in front of them.
Thoughts. Prayers. Action.
Gun violence is a tragedy. Always. In the past two weeks we've seen it wreak havoc on elementary students, teens, and a college campus. Every day across our country, people are shot in events that barely make the news. Our hearts break for all those impacted. We will never stop working for change.
As a nun, I'm expected to offer thoughts and prayers, and indeed I do. But that's not enough. We must rise up and take action together to stop this violence. This can't keep happening. Sister Helen Prejean

Gun violence doesn’t happen in a vacuum. When people are denied access to affordable healthcare, the risk of violence grows. Prevention starts with equity. Congress must not make this problem worse. #EndGunViolence #HealthEquity #RootCauses

It’s time for Wisconsin to pass an ERPO law. “It’s not just policy. It’s a promise: We will not wait to mourn when there is still time to act.” Read the op-ed by our Sr. Advisor for Implementation, Lisa Geller & @waveedfund.bsky.social Assoc Exec Dir, Nick Matuszewski: captimes.com/opinion/gues...
Sadly, this happens year after year in Wisconsin. Each time, a wave of Wisconsinites speak out against it. You'd think eventually these legislators would learn...

This week, the Department of Justice terminated major CVI funding — without warning, and without regard for the harm this causes. But we’re not giving up. We’re organizing. If you believe in community-led safety, now is the time to speak up. #ProtectCVI #ViolencePrevention @thehavi.bsky.social
Political cartoon by Clay Bennet is captioned America Reacts. There are two separate images - one of a mother crying and clutching a child next to a newspaper with a mass shooting headline. The other image shows a man crying and clutching his gun.
Seems all too true. @claybennett.bsky.social
