I finally got to build my lightsaber!

The short of it was late fees. But our store specifically charged us late fees even when we KNEW we returned games on time. The last straw came when we gave the game to the clerk at the desk, on the day it was due, and got hit with a late fee that Friday when trying to rent a new game.

Well, that’s a lesson for ya. You see regionals pop up, sign up IMMEDIATELY if you want to play. Ah well, probably good for me to play in League Cups and Challenges and try and win there before I take on something as big as regionals.

It was actually pretty good.

Exactly 1 year ago today, I quit my old job. Do I regret it? Absolutely not. Am I happier? Most definitely. Am I proud of the career I now have? Yes, it’s a weird thing now having pride in what you do.

Listening to @gamersweekpc.bsky.social and @wrytersview.bsky.social starts talking about the Street Fighter burgers from Japan made me hungry and miss those burgers. They were quite good.

Part of me would like to go see the Mario movie again just to finalize some thoughts, but also I could stay home and play games to lower the backlog too.

Just got out of #SuperMarioGalaxy movie and I liked it, but I didn’t love it. It’s fun for a Nintendo fan but like the first one there could’ve been much more. Still a fun time.

Ohhh the 6th gen. 3D getting perfected, online play being available, and some of the best games released pushing the boundaries and games being labeled as art and not just mindless fun. It’s a great generation.
