12 years after the founding of H3S, we look back on our origin story. How did H3S come to be? How has it evolved? Back in 2014, Professor Tim van Emmerick (Wageningen University) served as the first chair of H3S. Click here to read his interview! 👉 www.agu-h3s.org/post/buildin...

I still have two more years of my doctoral studies ahead. I hope to build on the challenges we’ve overcome in the first half and that our research can contribute to the development of public policies for integrated water resources management in Brazil.
1/2 I’ve reached 100 citations on Google Scholar. While a single metric doesn’t mean much on its own, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all my co-authors and the professors who have guided me throughout this journey.

1/2 Attending this year's AGU 🌍 and looking to get involved? 🤝 Get a few colleagues together 👥 and submit a session proposal 📝 by April 22 📅! We'd love to see your ideas 💡 about sessions related to Catchment Hydrology 💧 (and more) to shape the upcoming fall meeting
Hydrology Paper of the Day @gescilam.bsky.social and colleagues on communication in an age of water scarcity: issues and challenges identified in conjunction with the scientific community at EGU24; data from interviews and surveys; and the need for trust, appropriate audiences, equity, and clarity
Thank you for sharing our study, @kinarnicholas.bsky.social!
It's always a pleasure to participate in the Hydrology Paper of the Day series.
"People trust data with a location and a photograph more than a datapoint alone." The FUSS framework for communicating hydrological science from @iahs-aish.bsky.social www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.... @oriescc.bsky.social @soham-adla.bsky.social @iaguirre.bsky.social
Happy to contribute to this community paper on science communication in hydrology within the IAHS HELPING decade.
We propose the FUSS framework: messages should be Few, Unambiguous, Short, and Structured.

Thank you, @kinarnicholas.bsky.social!
With travel support from the Critical Zone Network of Networks (CZ NoN), José Gescilam Uchôa travels from the University of São Paulo to AGU25 to link Brazil’s 20-year experimental watershed with the global Critical Zone community and advance data integration and collaboration. 🌐🧪
This was truly an unforgettable experience. I hope to continue contributing to AGU, through the Catchment Hydrology TC and H3S, as much as it and its members have contributed to my growth, both as a researcher and as a person.
It was a pleasure to meet so many colleagues at my poster presentation, where I shared part of my PhD research, and to take part in our session “Thinking Outside the Box Plot: Communicating Science Beyond the Paper” organized by @agu-h3s.bsky.social
My thanks also go to the entire AGU community, represented by Professor Venkataraman Lakshmi, President of the Hydrology Section, for fostering such an inclusive and collaborative environment.
I want to express my sincere gratitude to my advisors, Professor Edson Wendland and Professor Paulo Tarso, for their guidance and continued support, and to Professor Ying Fan for the letter of support.
I was interviewed at AGU25 and asked what I liked most about being part of the #AGU. Without hesitation, I replied: the feeling of belonging.
This year, I was deeply honored to receive the Horton Research Grant. A recognition I share with an inspiring group of scientists whose work I greatly admire.
@agu-h3s.bsky.social
If scicomm is on your mind tomorrow's Thinking Outside the Box Plot sessions are a must for your #AGU25 schedule.
Co-convener José Uchôa told us some of the projects we'll hear about in the sessions.

Impact of CZ-NoN support to attend #AGU25 was felt strongly in the poster hall where @terraontherocks.bsky.social @andrewbucha.bsky.social @xioncheo.bsky.social @gescilam.bsky.social and others aided by the project convened and presented sessions during the week. About the project: bit.ly/CZNoN 🌐
2/2 If you are interested in GW–SW interactions or #sciencecommunication, please help spread the word.
Looking forward to seeing many of you in #NewOrleans!
1/2 I’m excited to share that I will be presenting part of my PhD research and representing the
AGU H3S @agu-h3s.bsky.social in one of the sessions.
A huge thank-you to the CZ-NoN @cznews.bsky.social for supporting my participation at #AGU25 and for providing promotional materials.
3/3 I would like to thank my professors at the LHC of EESC/USP (Edson Wendland, Paulo Tarso Sanches de Oliveira, Jamil Anache, and André Ballarin), all my colleagues at the LHC, and especially the co-authors of my study (Didier Gastmans, Bridget Scanlon, Clyvihk Renna, and Valmor J. Freddo Filho).
2/3 Thank you to everyone at ABRHidro for supporting research led by young scientists, especially the CT Jovem group, which I had the pleasure of being part of over the past two years.
I am honored to have received first place in the Young Researcher Award, in the PhD category, from the
Brazilian Association of Water Resources (ABRHidro) at the XXVI Brazilian Symposium on Water Resources.

Very happy to see Onça Creek crowned as the winner of the #CatchmentCup2025! 🏆💧
Special thanks to @agu-h3s.bsky.social for organizing and promoting this fun event! It’s a great way to celebrate our global #Hydrology community!!!!
Keep those votes rolling in for #CatchmentCup2025! The first catchment in our championship round is the Onca Catchment located in Brazil! The Onca Catchment is the longest continuous monitoring of an outcrop area of the Guarani Aquifer System from 2000 to the present day... (1/2)
