I started tracking plays in 2017 and this favorite hadn’t been tracked until tonight. The kids don’t care for it (3-4p game) but my love was reaffirmed.

“Band in the round” rehearsal tonight meant not sitting next to anyone else in your section so I had an excuse to sit with hubby tonight (we’re usually completely across the stage). It was a great experience, focusing on listening.

Growing up it was Parchesi and Trouble for me. Hubby had a ton of board games growing up, including some heavier stuff. When our daughter was around 5 we started looking around for something other than Candyland and discovered hobby gaming. Our first purchase was Gulo Gulo and Carcassonne in 2008.

Hubby, 19yo and I got in our first play of Fate of the Fellowship #boardgame (which I grabbed at PAXEast). Unfortunately we lost all hope when Helm’s Deep fell

City of Heroes has the best character creator, hands down, so this bracket must be for determining second place

Hubby and I walked right by the booth as the theme didn’t draw us in but 19yo and friends were absolutely open to try something new, sat down for a demo, and discovered some fun!
